Hi guys, a friend of mine has purchased the G29 to use with Project CARS on the PS4.. The problem is he can only use either automatic or manual (H).. The paddles dont seem to work! Anybody else had this issue?

You need to assign the paddles in the settings, I had the same issue when I first plugged mine in.

I have the same problem with PS4 / G29 paddles not working. Where and how to assign them. Does anyone have procedure or pics to follow. Thanks.

From any of the main menus, press Option button on controller and select Options from the menu that drops down on top right of screen.

Select Controls and pull Right paddle twice to move to "Assignments". Use the D-pad to navigate to "Gear Up/Gear Down" and assign the paddles to which you want for Up/Down.

I am having the same problem, and cannot seem to get the shift up shift down option to be changeable to the paddles. When I navigate to the option, nothing will change it, but if I hit the x button, the up shift will change to the x button. How can I assign to the paddle shifter?

With the option highlighted, press X once and it should say "Press the button you wish to assign". With that displayed, pull whichever paddle you want it to be and that should be it.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. Up till now, I highlight the upshift, hit the x, and the x gets assigned as the upshift button. I wonder if this could be a hardware issue? The paddles work fine in drive club on the ps4, and also work in GT6 on the ps3.

Sticking X button perhaps. Does it happen if you try to assign other functions?
