Last night during online and offline I was unable to upshift whilst accelerating driving the bmw m1 stanceWorks. Im running the g29 and it was the paddle shift that would not work. Downshift was fine and would upshift if I was not accelerating. Gear shifter was working ok and other cars I ran were unaffected so I know my wheel is working correctly. Anyone else had this issue?

You have to go off the throttle to upshift in that car. Feels strange to do that with the paddles tho, while in sequential shifter cars I always mod my shifter like this

Just feels more natural that way.

Indeed, it's how the car works. Lift the throttle on upshifts.

That's interesting, I never lift when upshifting in this car. Since the 9.0 update, that car is supposed to have a DCT (sequential) transmission, which shouldn't require lifting. Are you guys running auto-clutch? I wonder if this is a bug.

If you're running auto clutch you don't need to lift the throttle of course. In some real cars with sequential transmission, like the Ariel Atom V8 for example you can also shift without clutch, but you have to lift the throttle instead.
