Hi all,

The Xbox One Patch is now rolling out. Patch notes below...

Project CARS Xbox One Patch 9.0 Release Notes

Vehicles
Aston Martin GTE - adjusted the AI suspension damper rates down to better handle curbs
BMW 2002 SW - Adjusted default setup for better drivability. Adjusted optimum temperatures and heating to move the optimum running temp closer to 180F. Adjusted cockpit camera position.
BMW 1M SW - Changed transmission to sequential, paddle shift to match the 3D model
BMW 2002 Turbo - Speed adjustments for player and AI for better match in the Vintage racing class.
Formula Renault 3.5 - Raised collision mesh and adjusted default setup for better curb behaviour. Adjusted various other setup items to make player drivability better. Upped tire temperature build-up to get the tires more in the optimum range to use more of the intended grip with the default tire pressures and setup.
Ford Escort, Mercedes 300SEL - Balanced the speeds better against the new BMW Stance Works car for the same class. Slight improvements in available grip through moving them into better optimum heat/grip range. AI speeds changed to match.
McLaren F1 GTR: Fixed an issue where parts of the car would clip through other parts when damaged.

Tracks
Road America - New race line and corridor tweaking. The main goal was to keep the AI off the curbs so heavily, as with the massive alligator teeth here cause the stiffer car fits and lifting off the throttle.
Silverstone Classic Fixed an issue that caused the game to dramatically slow down and at times crash during pitting in a multiplayer race.

Tires
Reworked some vintage tires to get a better average temperatures increase, resolve severe flat spotting, localized overheating and too-easy punctures which were being reported.

Audio
Ford Falcon Reworked the vehicle sounds to a closer match of the real car.

Hopefully we might get the DLC pushed forward to 23rd of February.

I suppose it depends on if the DLC was primed and ready to go at all the stores. It could have been pulled. I guess SMS had to make a call and it might be too late to reverse it as the likes of Australia and New Zealand would have had it by now. I hope I'm wrong and glad the XBoxers now have it. I drove the Stanceworks 2002 today for the first time in 9.0 on PS4 and it was more manageable while retaining the "character".

Why is the update 3.2gb
You have changed virtually nothing and added 5 cars?
Are you hiding next months stuff too?

Changing 'virtually nothing' in a track may require a complete new export of a track. Same with cars, or even code.

Guess my console pulled it while I was at work. Looking forward to go driving the Vette & Cadillac next week.

I believe that 3.2Gb is the size of all patches up to date. If you already have all the previous patches and all you need is 9.0, then your console will actually download what is needed, which will be much less than 3.2Gb

I have noticed that the BIG patches tended to include an extra track/s, guess we'll find out eventually.

It always had the option to set udp to any number between 1 and 9.

When was the last time you did a hard restart of your Xbox One (including unplugging it after hard restart [when power brick turns orange & console is completely silent]. Proceeded by hitting power button 3 times. Followed by plugging console back up & turning on)? This should be done every now & then to clear the consoles cache. I do it to mine's, once every couple months.

I unplug the xbox every time I use it. It's completely unplugged. So, I never use instant-on.
I will try the 3x power button thing.
I get the 1sec freezes like the other guy described in the other thread, sound still there.

UPDATE: tried the hard restart, to no avail.
Initially, I couldn't understand people complaining about the game because everything worked flawlessly, but as it is now for me, it is unplayable. I cannot even put down one lap without a freeze. :(
PCars was so great...

I also turn off the city's power plant.

I did a fresh install after patch 8.0 and it got rid of nearly every problem I had apart from the sound issue which is so minor now that it's not an issue!
I know some folks refuse to do this but it really does help!

today, I did a complete reinstall from disc with the following online update.
Started PCars, went into TT, and already after about 40secs the screen froze again.

It's now unplayable for me :(
Any further suggestions

Same here.I've had all manner of issue's with the game at times but since patch 8.0-9.0 things just seem to have sorted themselves out and I've not had one single problem!

I'm not directing this at you Flat_out. To think, people said I had a mystical copy of the game. I did the whole fresh reinstall back at patch 6.0, if I'm not mistaken. Game has played great for me ever since then.

After the update my pedals have a dead zone of 50. I've checked on my computer and there it registers from beginning. Checked Forza6 dead zone set 0 it has dead zone about 5

I Did it. Hard reset and so on. Even deleted save game. Again.

Edit:
Reinstalled this helped a bit in game. When in configuration first half of the pedals don't register.

Strange thing with this game is not all Xbox have the same issues? This game has worked flawlessly BUT since patch 9.0 the same thing keeps happening to me! Freezing only for a second and the strange thing is there's a car in my rear view mirror! Again it's only for that split second. It's so frustrating tried all the resets emptying my cach all to no avail this is happening online. Not tired the offline! If anyone has a solution please help

I would delete my game saves and do a total fresh install. And make sure you don't play the game before everything is installed fully!

Just noticed you said this was online?
If it's during qualifying and warm up its because of people connecting and leaving the lobbie.
And I'm afraid there is no fix for that!

And your 40th mention of it.

This is an acknowledged structural issue that is unavoidable in peer to peer (albeit rebroadcasted) network infrastructure.

What pedals are you using? I find this same thing with my TX but it's not just since the patch, i've always found that on the calibration screen I have to push the pedals quite a way before they register on the screen. The brake is far better in that regard.

I have the t3pa pro. I noticed because two weeks earlier I set the Xbox back to factory settings.
I get stuck in the loading screen and only way to go on is backing out to dashboard. Still happens by the way.
