Hi all,

Is there anyway to find out what compounds the AI are running yet? I know on previous versions we could not tell.

Thanks

I think its a case of they run the softest tyres available 24/7 in dry conditions.

The AI runs the tires the default setup would give you.

Thanks, so the best thing to do is just leave the auto setting in the setup?

If you always want to use the same tires as the AI, then yes.

Automatic by weather. So for example in gt3 what tyres are automatic by weather in dry condition?

Sorry, I'm not at home right now, so you'll have to test yourself. But I guess it's slick soft.

It depends on the race length. IIRC, "Automatic by Weather" will also take into account the race length (so you might get softs or mediums).

I couldn't say if it is the exception to the rule but last time I checked (going back to around Xmas), the AI Formula A tyres appear to wear far quicker than mine on Spa with Tyre Wear set to x5 or above. I still have plenty of rubber left and the AI dash into the pits.

But in fairness, real life F1 softs last ~20 laps at Spa, for the 44 lap race. The soft compound we get lasts far longer than that and even the default setup can smash the real life lap times (~1min46secs in pCARS vs ~1min52secs in real life). It is very much a fantasy car.

If I remember correctly you can see this in the replay when selecting an AI car and hitting the telemetry view. I believe you can see their pressures, tyre wear and type of tire being ran. Of course it doesn't help in the race but if you want to analyse AI strategy after the race its available.

Worth noting as well that the AI run a very different physics model to the player car and are therefore not directly comparable even if they are running on the same tyres.

I believe that you can monitor an AI car and then bring up the telemetry HUD and it will show you what tires it's using.

What about the fuel? Do they use the default amount or do they use however much us needed?
