2600k @ 4.6
gtx 980

it can sometimes hit 90 but mostly between 67-85 fps unless i reduce the field big time or race by myself.

although in AC I can crank it up and debug pixels to 2 and it stays on 90....

just wanted to complain lol.

A quick update to add SMP support would resolve ALL our VR woes. SMS can add this in a patch, as Nvidia have stated devs have access to the new Api and it can be added it in easily. Hopefully they will do so.

true but still have to have a 1080 or 1070 for it.

I tend to run with 20-22 AI with the CV1 on and FPS stays steady for me.

See you just wanted to complain :p but may get some help if you post your graphics settings or take a look at the CV1/Vive threads for performance/graphics help.

I have the same problems. Blessing in disguise was that my P67a mobo for my 2500K is on the way out. I'm upgrading to a 6700K build on Z170 this weekend. I'm hoping that will help smooth things out.

Depends on your GPU - my 780ti is struggling even in Time Trial.

980Ti Hybrid at 1500/4000 here. That's not an issue. ;)

Even that can cause stuttering on a heavy track. I like to use the 24hr Le Mans track with at least 20 cars to test settings. That combo is pretty rough.

Yeah, I've tested the Vive on pCars with a 770 980 and 1080. Each step up you see huge fps improvements on the default settings. I thought the 980 was fast enough until I tried the 1080 and realized the slight ghosting with head movement had nothing to do with the Vive but was instead caused by the fps sent to it by the card.

Hopefully these guys implement the new NVidia tech that renders both views at once. That will again double the fps current 10XX users are seeing.

I just got my Oculous, anyone know how to turn on game in the Oculous interface? I already own the program. I see it in steam under vr section...

If you mean to start Project cars in VR mode, right click it in your Steam library and choose the 'Launch in Oculus mode' and put your Rift on :)
