With the goal of maintaining 90fps as much as possible these are the settings that work for me with 11 AI cars on a Gigabyte G1 Gaming 1080 (+150mz OC). These settings maintain 90fps on Le Mans in clear or overcast weather, rain and stormy conditions fps ranges from 60fps to 90fps.

oculus debug tool set to 1.6 (if you don't use the debug tool you can set the AA to DSX2 instead for pretty much the same performance)

post processing on
screen dirt on
bloom off
lens flare minimal
sun flare external minimal
sun flare internal off
rain drops off
Global Specular Irradiance off
Crepuscular rays off

anisotropic filtering 16x
text resolution low
aa off
track detail low
car detail low
reflections low
environment detail low
shadows off
particles low
particle density low
detailed grass off
crowds off

Just going through setting up HTC vive with Project cars on a PC running a Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1. I will be running some benchmarks and seeing how it runs over the next week.

Just going through setting up HTC vive with Project cars on a PC running a Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1. I will be running some benchmarks and seeing how it runs over the next week.

1.3 is the highest i can get to with grass and shadow off; 15 cars; all visual effects off except crepuscular rays (i don't know about you, but i like crepuscular rays); no water drops; exposure compensation 0.6;hide crowd; everything low except texture res to high;texture filtering 2x; I am doing this under clear, light rain and foggy rain. This is w/ AA set to 2x.

I try 1.7 with no AA and it looks great but without AA, everything in the distance look shimmering and jaggies in VR and it strains your eyes. I can't stand it! I had to go back to 1.3 w/ AA on.

This is with 980ti 6700k 24Gb ddr4 RAM. Let's see how high of supersampling you can go under my settings?

I've been using default settings (presumably low) with no perceivable FPS issues with around 23 AI. Hardware in sig.
