I think you mean this: you do not want to race a 100% real time race but you want to experience day/night and weather changes. Before you start a race you can set the percentage relative to a real race. E.g. 24hr Le Mans set it to 10 percent and training/quali and race will be set back to 2,4 hours. Hope this helps?

Divide 24 hours by the chosen multiplier to work out how long a 24hr cycle will take.

i.e.
1x - 24 hour cycle takes 24 hours
2x - 12 hours
5x - (24*60)/5 /60 =4.8 hours
10x - 2.4 hours
20x - 1.2 hours (72mins)
30x - 48 minutes
60x - 24 minutes

Then set your race to last for xx minutes instead of laps to match up.

Real Time is taking as long as Real Time does ;) So 1 Min in Reallife is 1 Min in the Game...

Or you could divide 1440 by the race length you want in minutes to get the time progression speed.

Eg: 30-minute race - 1440/30 = 48x. 2hr race - 1440/120 = 12x
