Hi,

Since i played on my computer with the logitech assistant i cant have good settings on the ps4.... i put the defaut settings on logitech assistant before plug back in the ps4 but thats the same.
I tried lot of settings i found online... for exemple in the curves the wheel moves butally or if i dont hang the wheel it turns alone left from right.
I put tire force 100 or down, steering gain at 1, the deadzone removal at 0.16....
Soft input and output seems have big effect but i dont know how to setup properly, i really found lot of settings online but all very differents.

Do you have any ideas if its possible that the logitech assistant messup something?
Or do you have link with clear explanations about each settings? In projects cars they explain the minimum thats not clear at all, and logitech there is no explanations at all....

Thanks!!

There are global wheel FFB settings and FFB settings for every car. My settings are there too: Python-Five

I apply your settings and i setup the settings dor the car i drive ( master scale...)

But its still bad, i feel jolts in the wheel when i turn, even a bit, and if i leave the wheel with my hands the wheel balance very strong left to right.... there is something wrong because i suppose the settings are fine for you!

I do not think settings are stored ON the wheel itself. So there must be something wrong although I cannot think of what...

What car do you use to test?

I used this website to set my settings on G920 http://pcars.oscarolim.pt/wheel-settings

Thanks guys... A little late but thanks anyway ;-)

The OP's wheel is oscillating when he takes his hands off using my settings. That never happens to me so something is wrong... What?

i use the Ariel Atom 500 V8 but even with defaut settings thats not good...

I think there is something to do with :

Per Wheel Movement

Per Wheel Movement Squared

Soft Clipping (Half Input)

Soft Clipping (Full Output)

But i would love to find very clear explanation because thats waste of time to try everything without knowing what im doing, what a headache :(

When you used my settings you would see that Soft Clipping is set to 0 (zero) and you can also find my pwm settings (-0.03, 0,01 and 0,04). Some cars have oscillating wheels when you take your hands off the wheel at high speed so that may be normal...

You said you played on PC mostly. When did you play on PS4 last? Maybe you need to update its system? There are loads of youtube's about G29 going mad on PS4.

I tried with other cars its the same, i feel jolts while i turn and if i take off my hands the wheel turn violently by itself.

I would like to find document who explain what each settig really do, the pdf of this website isnt not so clear.

Perhaps do you know which of these settings i have to adjust for this 2 problems?

do you mean the system of the ps4? I update the wheel on the pc. I never had trouble before i use on my pc, since i cant fix it on the ps4, there is something to do with that.

Did you put the G29 to its PS4 setting?

I think you should be on the latest firmware on the PS4 and run the latest version of pCars.

I have no idea what you could do, setting wise...

Turn on PS4 with your gamepad, plug in G29, press PS button on G29, use the G29 to start Project Cars. You could also reset your controller/wheel settings and callibrate the wheel.

Yes i did already... i sent support request in Logitech i will see what they said.

Maybe someone had the same issue on the PS4 after using on PC and can explain how they fix it? Or its the wheel itself and i will return it.

Thanks anyway for your help!

I will let you know later how is it!

I just did some testing with my current settings, driving the Ariel Atom 500 and the Audi LMS: DO NOT TAKE YOUR HANDS OFF THE WHEEL ;-) They start to oscillate and you loose the car.
Now, I really like my settings because I like some resistance from the wheel and I never take both hands off but I see your point. I do not know what settings make the wheel oscillate and I just ordered a Fanatec Set so I may have to start all over again in regards to the FFB.

But there seams to be nothing wrong with your G29. I would like to know from more experienced users what settings I should change...

I do not know what settings make the wheel oscillate

Usually it's from the deadzone being set too high.

Yes i was very surprise by the wheels oscillating like that, and i think the jolts i had when i turned it was because i forgot to remove the power steering OFF :stupid:

Python-Five

I even get oscillation with your settings. So I went back to my old settings. I know that with real Indycars, the wheel starts to oscillate when you take your hands of but who wants to drive without hands? Right? "Look mum... no hands" ;-)

All deadzones are 0 (zero)

I'm referring to DRR in pCARS.

Ah... than you should have said: DRR instead of Deadzone... Anywho... Fredo's setting of DRR is 0.16. Mine is 0.18. Is that too high?

I've got Shogun's latest on oscarolim (G29 global). No oscillation. Or not enough for me to notice.

The D in DRR is Deadzone. ;)

Try setting it lower and see if it helps with the oscillation. I've never used a G29 so I cannot comment, but I never used more than .005 on my G25.

I adjust my settings :

TF: 75
PWM: 0
PWMS: 0
WPS: 0
DRR: 0.16
DRF: 0.01
LScale: 0.00
LStiffness: 1.00

SC(F): 0.00
MSS: 0.40
LSSC: 1.00
LSSS: 1.00
SGain: 1.10

The SGain is higher, its feel better, its harder on the wheel but its more precise, so i just put down the TF a bit. I will try with less DRR for try
