Actually it's 150 Nissan GT-Rs that are exactly the same but have different liveries, therefore are counted as separate cars.

I haven't seen any open-wheelers yet, so I hope modern open-wheelers will return in PCars2.

Interlagos confirmed this morning by Ian Bell on GTP:

Small update on Interlagos. We've made contact with the nice people at the circuit and have also sourced a laser scan.

As soon as the team catch a breath they'll start working on it.

Might be in the main game, might be as additional content.

An SMS built version of the current F1 cars would be cool.
And when I say current, I mean so current we don't even know what they look like yet lol

As for the tracks... well... I can list every track I would like to appear in game and more than likely at least 10 of them may end up being correct :p

I don't want to speak for Cluck, but I don't think he'd appreciate pictures of his proto-type models being shared around ;)

Konan

I can tell you for certain that if it runs on coalslaw it's definetily not a "Cluck design"
He usually steers faaaaaar away from that stuff...lol

Yep...nice executive descision from Ian...Crowdfunding is a great means to produce a game but it's very nice to notice a developer taking in account opinions from the general public as well...

Same in English as well.
Example: "I'd be content with tons of content."
Confused yet? Ya, that's English for you.

I'm hoping for Charlotte (Nascar), Phoenix(nascar and indycar), Pocono (nascar and indycar) . But sadly I'm just hoping. Would also be nice to get Homestead Miami. As an American I'll spend 90% of my time running Stock Cars/Indy Cars if they are properly added to career, unlike the first game.. At least we know were getting Daytona, Indianapolis, Texas, Watkins Glen and should hopefully get Sonoma back. Still having a few more would be nice. Also hope we get a Chevy Stockcar instead of just the Ford Fusion.

I'm not a fan of watching oval track racing, but I do have to say "Don't knock it 'til you've tried it". With the right group of drivers, oval track racing can be incredibly intense. It requires a significantly different skill set as a driver.

Try to imagine doing 200 MPH in a field of 10+ cars that are closer together than the cars parked in the parking lot. In most cases the cars are mere inches apart. They are being bounced around by both track surface bumps and the aerodynamic buffeting. They are a handful, and everyone is also jockeying to be in the right position ofr that final lap. It becomes a 200 MPH chess game.

Agreed, watching oval racing is beyond boring for me, but actually doing it is brutal on your concentration and reactions to what the other cars are doing. Track racing feels like a drive through the countryside after a couple of oval races :)

hkraft300
16-02-2017, 10:09
No doubt it's difficult. It's not just about going flat out and get ahead. Staying ahead is super hard with a bunch of cars behind you drafting each other up inching closer...
Although, Indy and Daytona being pretty much confirmed, how many different left turns do you get at other ovals? :D
Yes, I will bag it as much as I can. Until I do some oval racing in pcars2.
Then I'll suddenly grow a mullet and a thirst for nasty cheap beer

Each track definitely has it's own characteristics. Different radius' and different amounts of banking along with different lengths of straights into each corner all factor into the equation.

And let's be honest...... It's no more repetative than running continuous laps at say Silverstone or Bathurst. Afterall, even on a road course it's the same corners every lap. It just takes longer to get from turn 1 back to turn 1.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gv8KNya9aeA Last season's IndyCar oval events were incredibly exciting to watch, but they tend to be the rare exception. If that weren't true then why would NASCAR be trying so many gimmicks to create intensity and drama?

Conversely, why isn't IndyCar doing any of these gimmicks? Seems more of a NASCAR management issue than the excitement of oval racing.

Add for game marc vds racing ford mustang gt3 (2010), ford mustang fr500 gt3 (2007), chevrolet camaro gt3 and olympia beer dodge charger. This is rare cars and i want see this cars in Project cars 2. This cars never appeared in any game :-(

Because Brian France is awful at his job and he's been methodically ruining NASCAR for the past 15 or so years. The actual racing itself still isn't too bad and at times is flat out spectacular. Just like every other series in the world.

Does anyone know whether historic old SPA is making form it this time?

Why wasn't in the game, not even as DLC?. Thing seemed finished and fully functional to me, so.., the problem was?

ah damn... did they sort the "problem" then now?. I find that track absolutely astonishing for more classic lotus racing happiness, or for historic cars massive drifting sessions, tyre destruction goodness

In the official launch video in the very few last few frames there is an NSX and a Corvette under a (railway/subway?) bridge with blue and white barriers

Is there any confirmation or speculation as to this track?

Cheers Dakpilot

Old Fuji layout with banked corner, to complement the modern layout? What do we think the chances are? can never have too many scary old tracks.

@ RacingAtHome Perhaps

But as it features in the official Video I would have thought there would have been more interest, rumour has it that if SMS themselves spill the beans it is fair to discuss

To me it has the feeling of a motor city street circuit from the frames in the vid
