Hi all,

Yesterday after assigning keys to a usb keyboard, my helmet cam point to uper side of the windscreen.
Whatever I try, I can't set it back to default. Every time I start Pcars I have to move the helmet cam down with the USB keyboard num pad arrow up key.
Even after delete all key assignments it still points upwards. See image underneath. When I start the game with only the controller I have to constantly pull up de left tumb stick to look straight forward. When I use my wheel I only can set the view back to normal with the use of a keyboard.
Anybody an idea how to fix this without installing the whole game again..?

Re-installing usually isn't necessary, deleting your profile would do the trick probably (still a nuisance though). Perhaps start with disconnecting all controllers and see if it still happens, then connect one by one etc.?

Thanks for the reply. It is not a controller issue because it is only seen in the helmet cam view. All the other cams are just normal.
Will Delete the profile and see if this does the trick. although I will loose all my current settings inc FFB..

Maybe a key is stuck on the keyboard?
Just shooting in the dark here.

No also not the problem. The cam is set to the look up 100% position by default somehow.
Will try some other things and does this not solve the problem I will do a reinstall.. to bad....

If you don't have the USB keyboard connected at all, does the problem still happen?

Try this before reinstalling or deleting your profile.

go to options, Camera
then change the FOV setting for the Helmet Cam. ( thinking this might fix whatever is wrong )

Must be something that got stuck / corrupt in your saved profile.

You can always copy the profile to USB before you delete it.

With a USB keyboard connected...
wasn't there a way to play around with the views, and each view then saved theses settings..

Ctrl-K or something like that...
It Unlocked the Camera Controls for Each View...

Yes I will copy the profile to an USB stick and delete the original and see if this will solve the problem. My guess it will. I think it is indeed a corrupt cam setting..

I use a keyboard for the above indeed but numpad 5 I was not aware of. Will give that a try. Thanks.

Yes also without any controller attached I get the same problem. Looks like a corrupt setting.

Thanks all for all the help. Much appreciated...

Well after a lot of hassle and no solution I deleted my Pcars profile and after starting Pcars and set all the settings back to the way I had, I do not encounter the helm cam view problem anymore. So to bad for all my progress etc. All gone of course but to have a normal view is nicer than some game progress.

You can try to put back your default.sav file now (if you saved it), and see if problem still exist. I seem to remember someone doing this sometime back resulting in saving there career progress. Worth a shot.:)

It has happened to others. The best thing to do is to backup your profile every now and then just in case. That way you can revert back to a known good one and not loose everything (maybe only a little progress).
