Upgraded the computer today: mobo, cpu and ram and I'm a happy camper. Spent 500 EUR on everything so it was not so much actually for the huge difference that it made. Just for information in case anyone is on the fence if upgrading is worth it, that was my machine before:

MOBO: GigaByte 990FXA-UD3
RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600
CPU: AMD FX-8350 Black Edition (when the game was released it was a FX-6350)

Upgraded to:

MOBO: MSI x370 Gaming Pro Carbon
RAM: 16GB G.Skill Fortis DDR4 2400
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X

I kept my Graphics Card for now: MSI R9 390 8GB (when the game was released it was a Sapphire R9 280 dual-x )

Upped everything to Ultra and I was honestly not expecting a consistent 60fps on 2560x1080 with 19 AI.

Just took me 2 years to finally play "the way it's meant to be played" ;)

Too bad PC2 is around the corner lol

Anyway, good job AMD for finally upping your game with those processors. They are monsters for the price!

I'll definitely be adopting Ryzen. Swapping from a 6600K, also to the 1600X. Just having 2 more cores, and 3 times as many threads is going to be handy.

Don't you need some super expensive nVidia GPU for 'the way it's meant to be played'? :)

More like "the way you're meant to be played".
