After seeing many videos of Pcars2, I wonder if we can change the FOV of the onboard camera like in Pcars 1 ?

When you changed your seat position in PC1 you couldn't save them, can you save them in PC2 ?

^ You could if you saved the car setup.
Not with Ctrl-k though.

Some players (including me) like the see at least one of the side mirrors without turning the driver's head on single screens. Even if that means their FOV is not realistic.

yeah m2 but with most of the cars I can move the seat further to the back with the keyboard controlls and just see a mirror.
Somehow I drive better laptimes with a lower FOV.

You can do that today. You just use Helmet View and disable the Helmet Overlay..

My biggest gripe with the fov in Pcars was that if you decreased it for a more realistic view the steering wheel became unbelievably big, most notable in the open wheel cars. I hope SMS fixed that for pcars2.

Yeah, that's what i run. It works really well. Aile Bleue, if you want to understand what the helmet view options do, there's clips on youtube that explain each options(just enter their name in the search field of YT). In the end, you'll be able to get a really nice moving cockpit view.

Depends, if you have look at apex setup to reach far enough, you may be good with an overall lower FoV. But yeah, if for whatever reasons you want more, it's stuck at 80 max.

In PC1, it's based on resolution. i.e. lower resolutions restrict the FOV. For example, using a triple screen resolution uses higher FOV values.

BTW, I am not sure if the FOV will be restricted based on resolutions for PC2.
