Hi all

It's difficult to tell from YouTube videos, so can you tell me how the graphics compare to pcars1?

Also does anyone know what the the game looks like on the standard ps4? Specifically does it run at 60fps more or less consistently with grids of about 20-25 cars in the dry?

With regard to the differences between pcars1 and 2, it looks to me as though the lighting and colour palette is a little more realistic this time around, and that cartoonish look that the first game suffered from in some conditions seems to be gone, or at least is less pronounced. There also seems to be less blurring and the textures of the Tarmac seem to be better with a lot more detail, like skid marks.

Overall, the presentation seems to be a little bit more glossy, kind of like gran turismo and very by similar to the direction codemasters have gone with for F1 2017.

The main difference is that the lighting engine has been re-written. This has made everything more alive (i.e. better shadows, more colorful pallet, just overall more immersive). It's hard to see in videos but it's a noticeable difference especially if you place PC2 then go back and play PC1.

Night driving is a lot better for me. Dusk to dawn in Pcars 1 always looks fantastic for me so there isn't huge difference there.

Basically this. It's still the same style/look, but improved in ways that do stand out when you pay attention to it.

The only base PS4 footage Ive seen was on the Team VVV youtube channel and from their footage it looked great. The graphics are already really nice on PS4 in PCARS1 so any improvement however small in PCARS2 will be a bonus!

VR --> SLI Would Be Nice!!! Do you think that will happen in the future for Pcars2 or is that Tec still a long way off and cant be done any time in the Near future.

AFAIK that's a question you should ask NVIDIA...

Yep, SLI for VR is not something a game can support or not, it's a hardware/driver thing.

Honestly, SLI has little to no room for the future because of inconsistent scaling performance...I'd rather have a 1080 Ti than SLIing 1070s.

I hear the GTX980 still a solid performer, so I'm pretty sure it's fine. Many WMD members have this card.

Anyways, will the GTX 980 work fine in high settings for 1080p?That will be absolutely no problem at all - I'm running a 980 myself. As it happens, in many instances, it's playable (albeit not 60fps) at 4K (3840x2400 in my case) with the equivalent of DS2X and all the other settings on Ultra. That's the mode I use for taking screenshots.

How good is Anti-aliasing compared to pCars 1? Is the shimmer better at DS2X equivalent? Because visually that is my only real concern.

Xbox One X will make this game shine ! As Mahjik mentioned the lighting has made everything look great but its also the details like Live Track, Live Grass, Pit Crew ,etc
