Hi,

If I choose FXAA or SMAA and start to drive I have a black screen. That's bad, because SMAA would be a good choice. I have the latest NVIDIA driver from yesterday. Any 3D Settings in NVIDIA driver colliding here?

Have you restarted the game after fiddling with the performance options?

If you haven't yet you could try verifying your install in Steam, right click it in Steam then open properties>local files and verify integrity.

Yes, I did.

I'll check integrity.

Integrity checked and OK. Still the same. With FXAA and also with SMAA dark screen. I hear the audio but have dark screens. Only MSAA works.

Some things to try:

-Steam launch option "-novr"
-Reinstall GPU drivers and make sure to tick the "clean installation" box
-Uninstall anything "3D vision" in your Nvidia drivers

Maybe even run DDU "Display Driver Uninstaller (http://www.guru3d.com/files-tags/download-ddu.html)" in Safe Mode and then reinstall the nvidia driver.

This will ensure there is no left over nvidia settings etc from older drivers.

Clean reinstallation of NVIDIA drivers didnt' help. Option -novr also didn't solve this issue.

But: I set Super Sampling to OFF and everything is fine with SMAA on High;) I am really happy. Maybe this was my fault. Thought this is not conflicting.

Thank you all for your support!

Super Sampling and AA should work fine together though...

I must say I think I have only used MSAA with super sampling though.

SMAA is better balance between quality and GPU load. Maybe Super Sampling should also work with SMAA. I don't know.

When I use supersampling I get a black screen during the race. I hear all the sounds and the game still runs but the screen is black. Any idea what it is ?

- triple screen nvidia surround
- 1080 gpu
- i5
- i run pCarsavx.exe as admin
- vsync on, other AA is off
- supersampling High
- other stuff is on high or ultra

It has been reported in This Thread. (http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?51510-FXAA-SMAA-both-lead-to-dark-screen&highlight=black)..

TLDR... "But: I set Super Sampling to OFF and everything is fine with SMAA on High"

Thx man. I'm going to follow all of those suggestions and hopefully it'll work.

I have the issue that supersampling does not work and gives me black screens. Does supersampling work on 5760 x 1080 surround?

It works on single screen 100%.

I'll take note

I can confirm that supersampling doesn't work with 5760 x 1080 surround getting a black screen as well with the sound in background

I confirm that SMAA set OFF and Super Sampling ON yields DARK screen. Turning SMAA back on with Super Sampling ON yields normal function.

So, I updated my Nvidia drivers as mentioned in the sticky at the top of the page. Restart my computer...restart PC2....and its no longer on triple screen. No big deal...i change the settings, restart the computer and restart PC2. Here's the problem...

When I got to Free Practice and launch....right after the loading screen (where they show the grid and the options on the left)...the background is black. No blurred out image of the tracks. Just...black. I launch the session and the only thing that on the screen is all of the HUD info. I can hear the car...I can hear the engineer...but everything else is black.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a fix? Or, at the very least, how to UN-install the new Nvidia update?

All help is appreciated!!!

Please delete the Graphicsconfig(xx).xml Files in X:\\MyDocuments\ProjectCars2

You will have to redo the Graphic Settins in the Game, but this should solve your Problem ;)

Fixed! Thanx!!! I tried to work thru Nvidia and even reverted back to the old driver. And nothing changed. Obviously, I missed that my thread had been merged. Any problem if I go back to the updated driver?

I still have the situation that I can't enable Super Sampling at all with SMAA. If I do, I have a black screen when driving. Menu is workig normal. Others have reported the same issue. Is there any solution available?
I am using triples.

I loaded PCars 2 on my PC. Checked for updates/patches and downloaded most recent patch. No camera views whatsoever insid of car. Turned down most in-game settings. Turned v-sync off and super sampling off. No video. Downloaded nVidia's newest driver. No video. I'm running triple monitors and everything is working as it should in Asetto Corsa. Here's a breakdown of my computer that I built last year. Any suggestions? I hope I didn't just flush $60 down the toilet.

It wasn't listed in the notes as addressed so it wasn't intended to be fixed in 1.3.
