I noticed this in the digital manual under AI skill settings:

"A setting of 80 or higher will allow the opposition AI drivers to dynamically adjust their driving style away from the default to cope with changing conditions or specific tracks"

so...does that mean if I have the AI set under 80 they wont make any changes to their driving style? Like, they wont change to wet tires in the rain or whatever?

Nope, Tire changes and Refueling will always happen. (Also under 80%)

Over 80% the AI becomes smarter, and can use low Downforce etc.

I don't understand the point of doing it this way. So that means the 1-degree increase on the difficulty scale of going from 79 to 80 is in reality much greater than any other 1-point increase (e.g. going from 54 to 55). Why not just have a setting to allow or disallow AI setups?

Seems weird to me too.
