Hi,

I'm under the impression that pcars2 on standard PS4 has a lot more jagged graphics when compared to pcars1. In pcars1 everything looked a lot sharper.

For example also photo mode pictures really are jagged on all edges.

Anyone else who has this impression? Anything that could be done to fix this?

Hey Pimm.. i have the same issue and i agree. Pcars 1 had a much smoother and cleaner look.

I did turn down sharpness on my TV to absolute zero so that might help? little bit better but still a lot of jaggies.
I think we have to wait till they patch in some decent anti-aliasing im afraid.

Same over here. Looks like PC2 has some serious AA issues atm. Lets hope the manage to fix it.

Even on the PS4 Pro I can often see jaggies (usually the roof of the car in replays). Interiors do look extremely crisp though and the HDR lighting effect on the dashboard is lovely.

And the game has some issues with draw distances as well. Happened more than once already when some scenery is drawn too late so that I see it pop up. For example the wall over the oval at Texas road course for the turn that makes you go infield. And that was even on time trial, no other AI cars on track.

According Ian Bell there is no AA issue. But we all see AA issues. I really hope they can smooth things out. I do not like the way it currently looks.

Strange, I read otherwise somewhere here on the forum. Can’t find it but I’m sure this was stated..

It absolutely wasn't. The opposite as I can link in 4 different posts I made. But go for it...

Then I was wrong Ian. Excuses for that. I surely thought I read it somewhere. But as you say it is not I have to believe this of course. :D

No worries. I'm a little jumpy when I get credited in things I didn't say/do (it happens a lot!) so no issue to you :)

I know:o I read the posts here as well and it was indeed not my intention to rant. Perhaps it was a misunderstood from my side because English is not my native language..
for me it is not a problem to admit I was wrong. My wife knows this because she is always right ROFL...
