Hi guys
Is it just me or does changing the tyre pressures in game seem to done nothing to change the tyre temps, I have had the pressures at 1.40bar and 2.10, with intervals in between and the tyre temps always seem to range between 100 and 115C and it makes no difference to the grip levels

In some of the cars you need to run three or four laps to really get the tires up to temp.

And in some cases they never do. (e.g., cold weather and all-weather tires)

OP - what I've been able to gather is that this game does not treat tire temps the same way as PC1. In PC1, if your tires wouldn't heat up, lower the pressure until they do. In PC2, pressure seems to be more important than temperature (both matter [or should] but pressure is what determines the shape and size of the contact patch). Also, the temperature is the internal carcass temperature, not the surface. There is another thread where Casey popped in to give us data on the optimal pressure for each type of car. That got turned into a spreadsheet by somebody (jimmyb_84). I don't have the link at the moment but I'll see if I can hunt it down for you. I think the new way to handle tires is to set the cold pressures so that they reach optimal pressures when warmed up and stable. Only a good amount of testing can determine what cold pressure you will need. The tires may or may not be fully heated up but as long as the pressure is right, that's the main thing.
