Im getting my game today.
Sadly the wheel i got doesnt work on my PS4.
So for the beginning ill be playing with a controller.

But i will be getting a new wheel for my PS4 pro.
Been looking around what wheels i could use but some positive points on different wheels from Project Cars2 racers or the developers could be helpful.
Im putting my budget 300 to max +-400euro.

Thanks

since it wont be a Fanatec budget. i would go straight to the thrustmaster T300rs. ive had both logitech G29 and T300rs and my opinion is the t300rs feels a lot less toyish and i hated the rattling noise of the g29 (otherwise the wheel looks good anddoes what its supposed to do). other advantage is the changable rims/add on parts (shifter/pedals) wich arent possible on g29 (besides plastic shifter)

I would save an extra 120€ and spend it on a Fanatec CSL Elite. They have a bundle promotion at the moment where you can have the CSL Elite + Pedals for 520€

Yes didn't really think about that. Changable rims/add on parts will be interesting later on.
On there site found the T300 RS GT edition for 399.
One for the short list.
Thanks.

There is no short list, if the CSL elite is within/near your budget then go for it you won't regret it.
I've had the T300, T500, G29 and the CSL beats them, the only thing I would recommend though is try and find the extra to upgrade to the loadcell for the pedals. :) although this not necessary right away as the standard pedals are better than the TM ones.

Yes I agree, if you buy the Fanatec then get the loadcell addon for the brake pedal as well. It's a world of difference.

A lot cheaper....

I like it, but I came from the T100.

Ah same here.
I'm waiting for my t150 to arrive.
Curious to see how it differs from the t100.

Feels a lot less "toy-like", but the pedals are the same (again, not a bad thing IMO)....

Oh nice.
Well I never minded the pedals.

And the fact that it is licensed for the PS4 and has all the correct buttons (share/option etc) is really handy.

Nice. I'm excited to get it tomorow.

Anywhere I should look for good settings for the wheel? I'm sure there's a thread somewhere on this board, no?

Thats even cheaper then the G29 i believe. Before i used the Thrustmaster TX Racingwheel on the xbox one, quit liked that one, good force feedback.
With the 3pedals 229 here.

yeah, i am just an casual player. So for me it will come down to playing for few months with controller and getting a fanatec or being pleased with a wheel like the t150 tommorrow.
Before i used the Thrustmaster Tx Racingwheel but that was on the Xbox One.

How much better is the T300rs in this game than the G29? I mean, the G29 FFB is awful in Pcars2, there's just nothing there. I'm hoping it's a bug but if not I'm thinking of switching.

The T300 and G29 are about on par with each other ffb wise but the T300 doesn't have the clonk and slackness around the centre.
The good thing about the T300 is it's very easy to manually lock your degrees of rotation, so if you calibrate it as recommended at full rotatation and then use the dpad and mode button to reduce the rotation down to 360 or 540 degrees it doesn't half improve the ffb :)

I think I'd have to borrow a T300 and compare to be honest, totally not feeling the G29 on this game though, horrid dead spot in the centre. I note you have a Fanatec CSL PS4, does that work with PC2?

Yes I've got it working very well at the moment apart from can't feel the rumble strips. I've just had a go at formula C and it's working so good that I can hold power slides out of the corners with the cold tyres :)

I have the T150. It's super cheap but remarkably good. I usually get upgrade envy almost immediately, but I'm fine with the 150 for now, although the pedals could probably be better. My one issue with the game so far is that I am really judging braking by muscle memory rather than feel. Not sure if that's the pedals or a limitation with the game..
