View Full Version : Patch 2: RPM still out of sync

HUD Rpm is still ~500 rpm different from the in-car tachometer. This is incredibly annoying for something seemingly so trivial.

Also why do we have to save a setup when you change anything? I just want to tinker - drive - tinker - drive - tinker - drive - save, like P1 worked.

If it's not in the patch notes, don't assume it was fixed.

Except there doesn't seem to be full patch notes?

The only ones I can find are on Steam, which basically state "Improvements / Enhancements / Fixes for [generic part of the game]"

Hopefully they full details are coming.

The incomplete patch notes left me clueless too.

Whats more annoying is the RPM is in sync on the HUD page with all the tyre/suspension data with the car, but not the other one with the track map.

Really? That's odd because the notes on Steam match the notes here perfectly.

So can you explain what the "Multiple improvements and enhancements to multiplayer, and lobby handling." are? I can't actually see anything that has changed. (not trying to be difficult, I'd just like to know what improvements we've got.) How would we report whether something is still broken without knowing whether SMS believe it has been fixed?

They are a little on the vague side. I would have hoped (as a commercial software dev for 30 years) they'd be using an edited version of the commit notes from the source code repository/qa. I guess not.

...especially knowing what this lot <waves hands around> are like! :)

I've noticed with the HUD the analog one is out of sync, but the digital one right underneath it is fine.

"Enhancements to various cars handling and standard setup improvements"
Naming the cars that have been improved would be a good and useful idea..
