Hi guys I'm not sure if this is the right place so feel free to move or delete this thread as appropriate.

I was hoping that you could give me some advice with regards to my gaming setup at home. I have just gotten my first gaming wheel (G29) in about 10 years since I used to own a MS sidewinder when I was into sim racing in my youth. I have been playing racing games since then but mainly on consoles using the controller.

I have been looking into chairs and I was hoping for your thoughts on what to go for. At the minute I think the Playseat Evolution might be one due to the price tag and I wouldn't be able to stretch much above that price range.

Thanks in advance for any help.

i'd prefer the Race room rr3055, as you don't have something between your legs. Same price tag.

Thanks for the reply and I will bear that in mind. Does anyone else have the PlaySeat Evolution chair? I've had a look on Youtube but the reviews seem to be fairly limited.

I'd be interested in how you get on with which ever chair you get, I've also got a Logitech G29 but i'm just set up on an office chair, which really isn't ideal for racing haha

Im using WheestandPro + RGS module (stand for shifter) + chair AKRacing Premium V2 + ultra wide monitor 34" just behind wheel base. I love it!

I upgraded from Playseat to rSeat (RS1) very happy with it. Rock solid.

I bought the GTR Racing Simulator GTA-BLK-S105LBKRD GTA Model Black Frame with Black/Red Real Racing Seat, Driving Simulator Cockpit Gaming Chair with Gear Shifter Mount. $369. It's solid, easy together, and nothing between your legs. I'd recommend it. Amazon.

I have a Next Level Racing GT Ultimate and man is it good! Little pricey but so much to build on down the track with all the adjustability. Have only got a g920 at the moment but heaps of room to go with larger pedal set ups like thrustmaster or fanatec

I have the PlaySeat Challange and it's cheap but good enough and you can easy fold it and push it out of the way to have more space for anything else ;) like me for Room Scale VR.

Thanks for the replies. My lovely wife has gotten me the g29 for Xmas so I have some time before deciding on the seat but your responses definitely help!

Edit: spelling

I am very happy with my Playseat Evolution. I don't really notice the bar in between my legs because everything is so adjustable.

If you've driven in both setups, and i do mean post, or no post between the legs, I would believe almost all drivers would opt for no post between the legs.

Yes I have a wheel stand due to not much room .I Really want a Rig looking at Playseat Challenge also no one sells them in New Zealand

I'd love to be able to afford something fancier and will probably upgrade eventually when going for a DD wheel but at a budget I'm really happy with my Playseat Challenge.
It's really comfortable, doesn't take up too much space and it's more then sturdy enough for my T300 so can definitely recommend it as a starting point :)

If I was buying a new rig I would buy the Next Level Racing F1GT

Fully customisable and convertible for any configuration to match the position you should have in any car which is perfect for VR or any sim racing.
