So what's the deal with the Formula A car setup? No matter what I do, it oversteers like crazy. Snooping around it appears this has been an issue? Anyone figure out what the solution is? I've tried to soften the rear of the car up, Stiffen the front, lower the dampening, messed with the rear differential. It's got this nasty on-throttle oversteer, but seems to be fine once up to speed and the aero is pushing it to the track. It seems to be a complete lack of mechanical grip at the rear end.

I don't know. At the track I usually run at the Formula A's are 7 to 10 seconds(circuit dependent) slower than the Formula A's from PC1. I am only 1.2 to 1.5 seconds slower with my GT3's at the same track compared to PC1. I know we are not supposed to compare PC1 to PC2 because of the different tire models but the difference seems unusual so it must be as intended for these cars. Have you tried using a setup from TT to see what others are doing?

The Formula A car is a dog on this game, itís definitely been nerfed compared to PC1. I also have the same handling problems that youíre mentioning. Itís horrible under braking too and braking distances are far too long if you compare it to a real life F1 car from 2011 which the FA is based on.

Slightly off topic... but what the f has been done to the sound of this car.

Sorry Luke, no idea about the sound. I haven't tried to drive them in PC2, maybe with some patches and when people are less disgruntled...I can post a setup if you want to give one a go from PC?

The souring part is they removed best open wheeler, FB, which physics would have escalated to crazy engaging fun in this new game.

Formula A is an absolute fail in this game. Total waste of time. Not to mention you can use DRS anytime you wan to. They didn't bother just one bit with this car in pc2 so you better off stay away from it. It's quite a terrible drive.

A setup to try would be a massive help, thanks!

Hi Luke, I don't know what you have tried but if you notice in his LSD his power ramp is at 70(90 is off).

I can’t remember exactly what settings I changed to be honest. But I’ll give this setup a go later on, thanks :)

Forgive me if I’m being dumb, I can’t get the final drive to go that low on the Formula A. 6.200 is the lowest it will go. I tried the setup though regardless, it felt a little bit better in low speed but the engine braking was far too much when off throttle in the high speed corners. Traction is also still horrendous.

I also had to change the wings, that setup has far too much front downforce compared to the rear. You can’t even turn into a corner without losing the rear end due to the massive imbalance in front / rear downforce.

It's a real shame, I jumped into a room with FA and could barely make a lap, car was like driving on ice. I do enjoy the Formula Renault 3.5, just gonna have to stick to that until this car is fixed. It should be like riding on rails, but isn't. The Ferrari in Asseto Corsa is a dream to drive.

Sorry Luke, now that you have the downforce better how about we try something with the differential. Try turning the geared LSD on, set coast to 8 or highest it will go. Leave clutch LSD on and set clutches at 2 and ramps at 90 each. Turn Viscous lock off.

So its possible to have multiple types of differential working at once?

Yes Terrell, I believe the default is using Clutch and Viscous lock. I noticed in the setup I posted for Luke that the person had turned everything way down(preload, ramp up, viscous pressure low) trying to get traction so I suggested trying the Geared because I am more familiar with it.

Guys I haven't driven Formula As before so something is wrong. I just went to 2 tracks. No driving on ice so it must be track specific?
