I am really struggling with the setup of the formula C in bathurst.
I play on 55% and it seems that the AI is much faster in this series then in in the previous series (rookie), there I always played on 70% and I was much quicker then the AI (at least by 2-3 sec in qualifying alone).
But now in this series I am struggling on 55%.
Now Bathurst is the worst I am off the pace from the leader by around 5 sec (in practice now).
I drive in a about 1:25 min and I don't know where I can gain time anymore.
I already switched to wets to give me more grip (the top speed isn't different 197kmh on main straight and 219 at the other straight).
Is it more with you guys?
The most difficult it seems is the gearing, I can't find a good one.
If some can give me some tips for the setup it would be great

I'm used to playing on IA 100% and I had some serious problems racing in the formula 3 on this track as well. Finding a good setup for this track is a huge challenge! That was the only race that I didn't finish on first position

Hi Bilman, check out the #1 setup from PC to see if your setup matches up or where you are different and can make changes. Hopefully that is a typo and you meant 2:25 at Bathurst. The top drivers are using 3.250 and the slower ones are using 3.667 and some even 3.889. 65 to 75 on the power ramp angle and 30 on the coast ramp are common.

I've just progressed up to Formula C from the Ginetta Juniors, will give these settings a go :)

Try Downforce 1/1, in this car it only creates massive drag you get almost all grip from the tyres anyway..

Thanks to all.
But especially you blinkngone.
Thanks for uploading the screens of the setup.
It works much better already.
I am now in the 2:24 (yes typo before, I wish I was that good:D), I am 1.4 sec from the top of the field but I think with a perfect lap I can get first.
So thanks for helping all these people (and me) in this and other threads out.:encouragement:

I hoped to find a solution to my Bathurst problems... but this setup is the default stable setup (apart from fuel quantity). that means I need to improve my driving (I've a potential lap of 2.27, current best 2.31)

Bliman.

On the xbox i have a time, tune and ghost shared. Its at number 56 on the leaderboard but over 3 secs up on the nearest formula c. Time is 2.17s could go quicker but i didn't have the bottle going down the mountain.

Thx HLR Toffo,
After long practice I got the hang of it and I got much better, with the setup that was provided, I am now promoted to Formula A, yaaaa.
But I think that people will enjoy your tune very much.
So thanks for pointing out your tune.
Manzomo I hope you received my personal message because it asked my name and password again before I responded to your pm.
But I guess you can post your problems here with the track and some of the aliens (:D) can answer, I am still firmly planted on earth:cool:.
