Hi all,

I have 1 PC that is used by 2 people.
The P-cars2 game is installed on Steam and also "Family-Shared" with a 2nd Steam account.
We constantly switch playing this beautiful game with 2 players, but it takes a lot of steps and time to switch players.

Scenario:
- Player A logs into Steam and starts Pcars2 and plays with 1 Profile created in the game itself.
- Player B has it's own Steam account and the game is Shared on Steam so the game can also be started from within Player B's steam.
- We like to keep as much as possible our own separate game settings and driver progress, high scores, etc.

Question 1:
Player A is racing... What if player B now wants to race, does he need to: 1. Stop Pcars / 2. Logout Player A from Steam / 3. Login Player B on Steam / 4. Start Pcars.
Or is it okay to keep the game running under Steam player A, and use 2 different Player profiles in P-Cars2 itself that player B can use?

Question 2:
Do the "driver profiles" in the game only separate driver (online) progress per profile, or do driver profiles also keep different game settings per profile like Audio, FF, Button settings, etc etc?

Please advice on best practice in this situation.

ps. Buying 2x Pcars2 game for 2 different pc's is not an option because we only have 1 gaming PC with steering and pedals. (otherwise we absolutely would have bought 2 games).

I hope someone can help us.
Regards.

Career saves, Ghosts, media (race replays, etc), all the profile data and tuning setups are stored based on your Steam account.. so to keep stuff separate you will have to log out of one account and log into the other.
No you won't be able to swap with the game running (killing Steam should kill the game too)

That does include settings for controllers, audio, etc.. but not stuff like graphics settings (or custom FFB) as they are global

The only thing you could do within the game itself is to have more than one career, but then all the other stats would be shared (including any online stuff like the license)

What do you mean that the graphic settings are global? Are they just saved on the first user's document folder?

if you use 2 windows user accounts on one PC, all settings are stored in their own documents folders . So all settings stored there are not global.
But i think graphics settings can be definitely the same, as you share the same PC with all the hardware specs.1
Don't forget to disable Steam sync, if your are using the same steam profile. If you use different steam accounts, it does not matter.
