View Full Version : You've not lived until you've done Spa Classic in the snow in a Group B car

You've not lived until you've pulled the E-break through La Source to make the car make the corner. You've not experienced all sim racing can do until you've gone effortlessly sideways up Eau Rouge, gracefully counter steering up the hill and going full through up the kemmel straight. Wait until you go down one gear through Stavelot, drifting wide into the perfect line.

Sim race fans, yo gotta try it. Spa Classic is so long it feels like a rally stage (sort of - a bit too wide and too many long striaghts - but in the snow the feeling is there).

SMS, if you do end up doing that stand alone rally game, please make sure all rally stages are at least 10 minutes long. And make sure to include the Dakkar Rally license. Can you imagine how bad ass that would be as part of your career path, or as an invitational.

They needed the extra engine to carry around the potatoes, cheese and stroopwafels they put in the back, and still go fast.

It did that job(going fast) pretty well:

This is the '88 though along with my favorite Dakar car. Both all time greats of all classes(for me, and I don't care about mopeds one bit) in one shot: priceless :)

They were so fast(240k/h, 1200hp) trucks were banned from competition(only support) for '89 after the leading TurboTwin crashed horribly killing the navigator. Before that it was THIRD in the overall standings beating 2 405 T16s. ;)

So taking the ban into account this thing is the Group B of trucks. ;)

yeah spa classic has one of the narrowest roads and highest speed turns at the same time. And many of them. Add some snow to that, and voila. The ultimate challenge? Deadly challenge, more like it.
