I am noticing this on random occasions, mostly with GT3 cars so far. I will change a gear ratio then decide nah, i want to go back to where it was and it's frozen in place. Happens more to the overall ratio than a specific gear.

Anyone else find this?

The question is what the actual bug is: that it freezes, or that you could change it in the first place? Didn't GT3 have fixed gear ratios?

Most are fixed, a couple of exceptions are the Acura NSX GT3 at Daytona and Texas Speedways. I guess the NSX needed to be able to win somewhere. It might also help the NSX at Le Mans but I don't know, it definitely helps on the Speedways. Edit, the AM Vantage, both BMWs, G55 final drive is adjustable as well but will not go as to as low a ratio as the NSX and the Audi, Bentley, Merc AMG, 650s is fixed so it's kind of a mixed bag but personally I don't have any issues going back and forth.

I remember a post from a while back about this topic. It said that the bug is actually that the wrong ratio is displayed on the setup screen initially. When you "change" it, it changes to the correct ratio but then you can't change it after that because the ratios are fixed. So it's a cosmetic bug only.

You *think* you can change them all. But do they really change?

That's sounds like a question for a buddhist monk or something.

What is the sound of one clutch plate engaging?

I think it's this issue that you guys are referring to:

Argue all you want. The NSX runs a 0:48.638 at the Daytona Tri Oval largely because of the 3.020 final drive ratio that you can select. The rest of the GT3's are way behind. The Audi with it's fixed ratio runs 0:50.379.

On the NSX using the same setup but with the 3.262 gear the car is slower, it is real.

Indeed, my buddhist side thought exactly that and started to investigate at an other level :)
