Is this an accurate comparison? Because I don't know wether the cars in Project CARS 2 are from IMSA or WEC or elsewhere, with P2=P, GTLM=GTE, GT3=GTD

Nevertheless, an interesting comparison anyway and the laptimes are quite close to what we have in real life.

times are pretty close. the LMP2 is a 2016 spec so looking at last years Rolex data from quali (don't have 2016 data ATM) the best LMP2 Ligier was a 1:39.149 (Caddy DPi was 1:36.903). 488GTE was 1:44.121 (Ford GT was 1:43.473 (pole)). 488GT3/D was 1:47.099

It's fairly common knowledge that IMSA not only BoP's the GTD class to create some more separation, but also the Continental tires are not quite as good as the Pirelli's (whats simulated in pCARS2). Also the max speeds from the video above are a bit low compared to IRL, but some of these speed trap speeds reported are probably from a bit of a draft in some areas.

2016 Rolex 24 Qualifying was wet and therefore the data from that qualifying is irrelevant.LMP2 is the class from which Ligier JSP2 and Lola B12/80 and BRE-01 that competed at the Rolex 24 in 2016 with all the he other P Class cars that year being DPs.GTLM and GTE are the same categories with all the cars that competed in 2016 and 2017 being in the game, along with all the 2016 liveries.GTD runs the same regulations as GT3 although the BoP is slightly different. It only ran the same regulations from 2016 though, with them being ever so slightly different inn 2014 and 2015.The BoP makes them slower than in SRO sanctioned events such as Blancpain GT Series.

Not really sure what you're trying to say, but I didn't use 2016 quali data.
