Hi
Some times wile I'm racing and I pass next to the pit stop ( I don't get near the pit entrance) I get the pit speed warning message in the the middle of the screen like if I was entering the pits and it's a bit annoying.

Is this a bug or am I missing something or doing something wrong?

X2 here not on every lap but often enough, with manual pitting enabled.

No your just crossing a part of the track close to pit entrance

Can confirm this on Dubai GP, Silverstone GP, RBR GP, and Monza GP in multiplayer. You can be on the other side of the track and it pops up randomly every few laps. There are other tracks but am 100% certain on these as I have turned a lot of laps there in preparation for recent league races.

It happens on PC too. Most noticeable on practice session because it shows up after about 4 laps after starting a session and leaving pits.
To me it appeared on every single track I raced on so far

No. It's not true.

i've noticed that it generally pops up for me if my fuel is getting low, almost as a quasi reminder.

Happens on Daytona road course as well.

Happens at Indy coming out of turn 4

Add Imola to the list. I'm not touching the white line and the message still pops up.

I don't think it's track specific.
It seems to appear when your fuel load is quite low, as Abe mentioned.

Winner winner chicken dinner.

Just put 10 liters in and started lapping at Watkins Glen short, staying well outside of the white lines delineating pit road entrance. The warning started appearing when I dropped below 2 liters.

Makes sense as I always run the enough amount of fuel.
But at least the yellow pit sign could be shown, like when you have damage, and not the pit speed limit like you were in the pit lane, when you're not.

+1
But even then it needs to be shown the lap previous...by the time the warning appears it is too late to hit pit road and with less than 2 liters you aren't making another complete lap at most tracks!

I have to retract this, low fuel isn't always the cause. Qualifying session at Algarve, Chevy Indy Road, online, no opponents (AI or human), had 44 liters in the tank and the warning popped. Will post a video later.
