I'm curious whether or not people are deleting all their old setups and starting fresh with the new patch?
With patch 5 I found nothing worked well and a complete delete was better.
Not sure if with patch 6 should do the same? Some of my setups feel pretty off now...

What's the consensus?

Hi Atak Kat, I don't know if there is a consensus yet but I woul almost be willing to say go ahead and delete your old setups. The tires are so much better that you might mislead yourself trying to adjust your old ones. Just look at RWB Speeddemon has done with Defaults. http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?53613-GT3-car-balancing&p=1516365&viewfull=1#post1516365

Also check sylekta's post here if RWB's gives you a headache. http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?63515-Patch-6-0&p=1515877&viewfull=1#post1515877

Hey Atak Kat, I wouldn't advise you to consider to start over without doing so myself.:D So, I picked what I remembered to be one of your favorite cars, the Porsche 911 GT3 R(not one of my favs though:D). I started with Default Loose and was quickly able to beat my previous PB, although only slight, without a lot of effort. It usually takes me a lot of effort to do almost anything.:D Anyway I ended up with Brake bias at 50/50( similar to where you went with patch 4.0). I made only minor changes to the LSD. I have no idea where to put tire pressures yet, if you start way low like patch 5.0 you will need to run a lot of laps. My old setup was considerably slower with the new tires.

Tried again, a little better, some feel you should be able to do around 4 tenths better with the 6.0 tires than your previous PB but I'm not quite there. I have to reduce camber and increase springs, maybe this is because I am mostly using only my right arm though.

Iím keeping mine, adjusting to suit if there are any changes to the pressure/ temp behaviour.
Canít be arsed doing them over, tbh.

GT3 donít feel different to me yet.

Thanks for the replies guys. Will have to try some testing like Blink and see.
I'm a bit in no-man's-land at the moment. Did a few online races last night (RSR, Mercedes GT3, RS01, Mclaren GT3 were the cars I used).
- No matter what I did, the cars just felt more soft and I struggled to find setup adjustments I was happy with. Nothing was terrible, but I couldn't really get comfortable. But OK, will work on it.
- But for whatever reason I ended up in a lobby with the McLaren GT3 as the mandatory car. Never drove it before, and didn't have a saved setup so I had to do it pretty quickly during the 2min ready screen (no quali). Bloody thing drove and handled like a dream. Maybe I just go lucky.

Actually, I need to ammend my initial impressions.
I did some more laps in the sls at Monza and the soft tires definitely have more grip. This would make all the cars feel more "soft". So stiffer suspensions than patch 4/5 would be advantageous.
I used to struggle for 1:48s in the AMG but in the SLS without tuning I got 48s easy. With low pressure tires.

The other thing I noticed (in the LMP1H) was that pressure affects rolling resistance more. Between 1.85bar and 1.9bar there's a 4-8kmh top speed difference at le mans.

Hi hkraft, there are not very many runs in TT that are not Default but one I found did increase the springs and this is what I found as well. The problem I have with the Porsche is the springs max out at a low rate so I have to bump up the dampening as well.

I have a feeling a few records might get beaten once everyone gets the feel for the new soft compound.

I started doing set ups pre patch 4. I have never deleted any because of a patch, they all appear to work fine so far, as previously.

They won’t need deleting, just minor edits.

Interesting! Haven’t found conditions to try the hard tires yet.
Will give them a crack over the weekend.

Definitely worth ago mate I only tested at Watkins Glen because of league commitments and time since the update. I'll will run RBR tomorrow because that's my go to track for testing
