its the DOF reality h2 2 dimensional movement ( pitch and roll = forward , backward , side to side ) 1600$ us + 300$ us shipping + a racing seat for 300$ can . great reviews , easy to assemble , takes very little space , quiet . I think this would be great in VR . anybody hear about this product or a better one ?

Not sure if it's the exact same model, but it looks like this guy liked it.

Looks awesome but how old is it ? They use a old Logitech wheel on the promo pic version ! Maybe just because it's old stock images but I would have though premium products like motion rugs would have a premium wheel attached for promotional images .

they started this product in 2015 and there are some vids whit all kinds of wheels I guess if you upgrade to this you try to kept the wheel that you already have if it still works great for you . and the games that work whit the rig include Pcars 2 , assetto , raceroom , dirt 4 … the frigen price and the really good reviews it has reseived plus the great consumer service and updates is what has me sold on it . but im wondering how that would be in VR since youre body is now moving also if that would make youre view in VR very hard to focus because of the movement of your head . anybody have a motion rig ?

Yep, I noticed that after watching the video. IMO, I don't think I would do a motion simulator without the rear slip roller.

yes that's true but that is also 700$ more the good thing is that you get the h2 and if you want to upgrade later you get the rear slip roller portion and instale it on the h2 that you already have .

Yep, it is more money, but from a motion perspective it adds so much more. To be honest, I'd do a motion rig that did nothing but the rear slip and only add tactile transducers all around. That would literally be my perfect sim rig.

The main thing that is hard to get a feel for with FFB is what the rear of the car is doing. IMO, I wouldn't consider it without that option. I understand it costs more, but you could just wait a bit longer to save up some more money. I rarely see people go back and add things if they don't get them up front.

EDIT: With all that Fanatec gear you have, don't do yourself a disservice and get it without the rear slip roller. ;)

But I'm wondering on the use apart from the car/racing games for example.
Can you put it to another use like by detaching parts and such and reconfiguring?
Seems like a nice comfy setup though...

*wiggle-wiggle* simulator...
in another forum they say its not the best way to fool your body to get a real/good feeling when everythis is moving)
and if this guy build and sell this its clear he likes it ;) (?)
with the moving screens i will puke trough the room from one end to another...
they say small movements are enough to trigger your body he thinks the effect is real.

some other versions from DIY to sellers (as an idea whats up on the market)

a DIY platform mover from a freak (writes his own software for this project. its in a alpha status)
https://forum.virtualracing.org/showthread.php/109282-DIY-3KW-Motion-Sim-Rig-Coming-Soon

expensive but the "real deal" (for hardcore freaks)
http://www.prosimu-shop.com/en/simulator-t1000/63-t1000.html

one of the best so far from the feeling (only Pics, HP is down or gets sometimes renewed)
https://forum.virtualracing.org/showthread.php/103224-Der-neue-3MOTION-Simulator-powered-by-Track-Time?p=2376664&viewfull=1#post2376664
with hardware (maybe Fanatec) startprice around 10k€ ;)
price without wheel/pedals etc unknown at the moment...

a compact seatmover (the middle between the original postet one and the hardcore stuff)
https://www.nextlevelracing.com/products/next-level-racing-motion-platform-v3/
and "only" around 3k€

personal i dont think i will do the next "step" and spend so much money for a seatmover etc.
its a hobby, but not a hardcorehobby i do 50H per week this investment would pay off...

what I don't like about the next level is that only the seat moves and the wheel base and the pedals don't move . the price for me and that the entire rig moves is what has got me very interested , about the vid he only tested it he put the kit together but did not make it himself . im not pulling the triger just yet .

there is no need that the complete platform moves so much to fool your body.
small movements are enough and you cant simulate G-forces.
it is very interesting what people build and test and everyone of these think his is the best.
but everyone is free to buy whatever he likes :)
if money and room doesnt matter i would take the french or the tracktime (raceroom) rig.

if I buy one I don't want just a seat mover but to each his own . ive been looking at motion rigs whit vr and some of the vids the view in vr is shaking very badly and some not that mutch depending on the car they are driving and how they setup the amount of movement in the rig it seems like nobody can agree on where to put the sensors so that it dosent shake too mutch on the wall or on the rig , I got alote of research to do before I get one ! so I guess nobody here has a motion rig and vr ??

You could play VR movies with motion. Think Universal studiops theme park. Flight simulation. Mount your Bike trainer on it to simulate hills, maybe even MTB trails... TBD
