Hey, just in case they haven't fixed the console Leaderboards for you.

1.7.1 Update. Hey, from the limited patch notes I am going to assume the fixes did not involve a new tire model so I am just going to keep this as a 7.0 thread. 02/10/18

Ok, for the GT3s the 7.0 patch is good for TT at least based on all (well ok, no one has hit the Z4 yet Edit, done a 1:46.114, 21/09/18):Dthe new WRs at Monza on PC. Thanks very much npocto 111. And also the gang at SMS. This hasn't happened with any of the other patches where all the WRs at Monza are going to be a single patch so if it's indeed the last patch then it's a good one.

7.0 Soft tires. Ok, I can't run tracks, basically just Silverstone National. For the first time I can run Soft tires at this track. Very much more grip, quickly get up to pressure and you can reduce camber which will increase tire life. So much more grip in the rear tires you can dramatically reduce Power Ramp angle and increase rear ARB. Night and Day difference from the 5.0 tires and really better than 6.0 as well, just hope everyone is a little bit more happy. EDIT Ok, this only applies to the Renault R.S. 01, not the GT3 version. EDIT AGAIN(06/01/2019) Nevermind the Hard tires are better on the RS. 01.

I switched to the SOFT tires at the Daytona Tri-Oval and set new WRs for the Ferrari and C7.R. I am not going to reset all the GTEs but you get the idea.

GTO Soft tires as well.

STEAM CHARTS. I am going to post this here, hopefully enough of the Multiplayer issues are fixed and there will be a sustained bump in participation.

STEERING ASSISTS http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?63970-Steering-Assist-Clear-Advantage
Well, I am putting this here because I swear I thought I was supposed to turn the Steering assists off.?? Apparently not so, especially for you who are just starting out and also for those who want to have the best possible results even if you are a good driver. I'll just continue not using it because I don't need to add still another variable to my own driving but if you think you could use some help then by all means use it.

With the new Update 1.7, apparently in some corners (in some tracks), some cars have more understeer than before (especially using 0 - 0 of Downforce), and now the consequences of not using ABS are also more noticeable . But in contrast to other tracks I have not noticed major changes. But because of this last I am not sure if it is a change in the feeling of the cars, or if there were changes in the feeling of the controls.

For now, I only have two examples with the TS040 LMP1: At Monza the TS040 have some more understeer (except at the variant Ascari) with 0 - 0 downforce, and also at Daytona Road only on the bus stop chicane. But at LeMans and Daytona Road (except at the Bus Stop Chicane) I have not noticed any change in performance.

Something additional that I have been able to notice is that the consequences in the car when locking the brakes (for exceeding the braking distance and braking time) or in the balance of the brakes are more noticeable, because in some curves (depending on the car) have more understeer or oversteer than before the last update

Ok thanks KANETAKER. I have only run the Renault R.S. 01 so far and using the Soft tires I found a lot more grip than before. I had to alter my setups which is ok. I found I could shift the brake balance much more to the rear without lock up. I'll try the GT3 version tonight. Another person(Voodoo child) mentioned he thought the tires were more like the 5.0 patch but the tires in that patch didn't work the same for me. I did find I increased the Slow Bump considerably to increase the steering response(reduce understeer). I don't run the Prototypes so I have no idea of the changes there so thanks for the information.

Hey, I tried to run the Renault RS.01 GT3. No luck at all with the Softs. My old setup was driveable but slow. My brakes appear to be barely functional, may be my pedals. Understeering badly. I upped the spring rate, increased slow front and rear still not much progress. The car doesn't want to slip laterally, which, ok, is fine if you don't want to spin out but some rear slip is good for tight corners and I haven't found it yet. Overall for me the 7.0 patch is meh. Hopefully it's just me and others will find great satisfaction with this patch. I'll try again some other time.

I am what I feared ... then there were changes in the feeling of the cars, and I really do not understand why SMS continues to make those changes that were not requested by the players, affecting mostly casual players who just have some time free to play (1 - 2 hours for day or 6 hours for week), while in the case of competitive players (more of 4 - 8 hours for day) because for them it may be easier to readjust to changes and reconfigure their setups.

So your comment is confirming in some way that there was an increase in the understeer of the cars as well as a change in the behavior of the brakes both in the pressure and in the balance? As I mentioned before, I could only notice these changes in some curves of some tracks, since in other curves there does not seem to be any problem, but maybe both factors are related, because I noticed the understeer just after using the brakes.

Hey KANETAKER. So far there have been few runs by the more experienced racers. Last patch 6.0, RWB Speeddmon91 was nice enough to make runs with nearly all the GT3s at Algarve and Nurburgring so you could easily see the tire improvements from the 5.0 patch. As f today he has only made limited runs with the GT3s so I can't tell yet. For myself I have too many physical and computer issues to deal with atm so I am not going to be able to offer much direction for others. It could be just me, for me the patch is difficult to manage. I don't enjoy being slower.:( Maybe in the next few days the good guys will shine some light on the 7.0 patch with multiple tracks and cars with the GT3s.

I've been testing more cars. In my case some cars have become less complicated to handle than before the update. Others, on the other hand, only require slight modifications in the settings or in the driving style so as not to lose the train (in some cases I could improve some hundredths while in others I lost up to half a second).

Ok, good to know. Not much activity in TT with the new patch. I think I will wait for a while before I make any more attempts myself. From the limited testing I already did I turned my left ankle purple so I will wait to see if it's worth more damage. I assume everyone is happy though because otherwise there would be complaints so all is good and I am glad you are satisfied as well.

Back in Patch 5.0 you had other problems and this was somewhat identified as an issue with people who didn't have the best computer specs for the minimum game requirements. Have you had any issues similar to patch 5.0?

Could I have some help with the Corvette GTE , I’m losing out against the Ford GTE and the Aston on the straights even in the tow.
Overall I can set a faster lap time but if they get by me they pull away on the straights and compromise me in the corner , Eventually I can get past but have to be really defensive on the next straight . I’ll probably just trim out some rear wing but don’t want to destabilise the car in fast corners.

Hey Cholton. Are you talking about Career? On the straights the Aston is faster, the Ford is next and the C7.R slowest, nothing you can do about it. Ford at the Tri-Oval is 0:47.679, Aston is 0:47.399 and the C7.R is 0:47.919. At almost every track in TT the Aston isn't competitive, the Ford and C7.R will trade places depending on the track. If you need a specific track setup for the C7.R we can get those, you don't want to compromise the handling of the C7.R to get a little more top speed because you will inevitably lose out.

I’m going to get spanked by them at Le Man then !

Ok, then you just need to use the sliders on them, lowering the Aggression slider will give you a greater advantage in the corners, cut their Skill and their top speed advantage will be reduced. Sometimes you need to nuke em.

I can’t allow myself to do that , I won at Fuji and placed 4th at Silverstone , I’ll just have to look to pick up the points where I can . I reckon I can do a decent job at COTA and hopefully pick up enough points in the races before Le Man that I can make that a damage limitation weekend albeit double points . Or I just run a very skinny wing and see how it behaves .

Ok Cholton, good luck in your series! This year the various manufacturers in GTE complained so much after the Spa race that they BOPD the cars for Le Mans and the Porsche team cleaned up. So even in real life adjustments are made to even things up a little.

Thanks , I knew when I chose the Vette it was going to be a battle to take podiums and race wins but the sound of it won me over . Yes Le Man is a race I watch every year , I normally watch the first couple of hours then catch up late at night and first thing when I wake up to see who we’ve lost in the night.

Hey, here is the deal, the setups I checked all copied Sam Fast's Bump transitions, these are super stiff. If you find the newer setup is still bumpy work on reducing these transitions toward where Jussi had them in Default.
According to your Engineer you could also leave the transitions alone where Sam had them and instead reduce the Slow bump. You can also check out Casey's sticky where he explains the transitions he aded to PCars 2.
http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?55139-Post-6-Can-someone-explain-dampers&p=1393261&viewfull=1#post1393261
Personally I don't make big changes here to the settings Casey and Jussi gave us. If you look at Casey's post you may want to look into the fast Transitions instead of the Slow ones. You could also look at changing your FFB setting.

Blink can you tell Me what you feel has changed with Tire Temp or Tire Physics model with patch 7.0??? Car physics and Tires are still Great... but feel just a tad different... It seems that i really have to pay closer attention to Ambient weather and track temps Now... I used to just run hard slicks every where if track temp was 100 or above but that dont seem to work and My lap times are down about .500 since update.

all in all it was a good update i just cant figure out what changed or if im just off pace because i think something changed:confused:

Edit: I also seems that My tires Go yellow and lose grip Quicker and i have to slow down in corners to cool them more often.

Has any 1 else Noticed this since last patch???

Hi Grimey. I really can't say much because my testing is so limited now. I was able to get within a couple of tenths of my PB on the one GT3 car I tested so I probably just don't know what adjustments to make. I was leaning toward increasing the Slow bumps on the front, I have seen M Power do this in his setups as well. Also I reduced the camber, this might help with your yellow condition. I was struggling with corners, so I didn't get a chance to try it but maybe reducing the TC(higher number) would help get some slip in the rear back for cornering, also lowering rear ARB. I haven't seen much in posts except that some feel there is more grip but nothing specific to GT3s yet. If you look at the TT Leaderboard there isn't much activity anymore. I have seen a few WRs set but mostly the 7.0 patch times are slower and by people I haven't seen much, possibly new runners.

Since this is possibly our last patch and therefore no new tire models people will eventually figure it out. For now this is the slowest adaptation I have seen of a new tire model in TT.

Hey Grimey. I looked up (ACR) Mr. Van Ommen at Silverstone GP. To me he appears to be a new runner, at this track. His improvement with the 7.0 patch compared to his limited history is remarkable so some are going to be really successful with the new model. He has set 2 WRS and a 3rd within the GT3 class. He appears to be working mostly on the Dampers with some success. On his WRs he made many changes to the Dampers and his 3rd place run he left them mostly at Default.
WR Dampers on the Huracan.

Thanks Im going to check to see what adjustments i can make to see what helps... I drive Stock with only Fuel adjusted and Engine map to 0.

What ever was changed feels Good ... IMO what i feel is Maybe a Bit more Mechanical Grip but its kinda elastic you can feel more tire lean and sway as you get close to the Limit of Grip <-- This is what maybe throwing My pace off because i have to readjust when, where and how hard i can push the cars in turns ---> The readjustment learbing Curve is always the worst part of even Small tire Model/ Tire Heat or Grip changes... I probably Need to learn it on a track i dont Know well because tracks i know I keep trying to drive My same/normal lines and its Not working for Me... My times are on average +.500 from Normal race pace.

Other than that all Feels Good but a bit weird because im Not used to it yet and dont know exactly what changed.

Guess the big question is, has the tire pressure that gives optimum grip changed? It used to be 1.70 a couple patches ago, is it different now?

Also what about soft/hard tires? In some patches softs were only usable below 20C track, in other patches they were usable (and faster) also in hotter conditions. What's the status now?

Please don't answer "just test them out and find it for yourself", that's what we have the forum for :)

Gt3 Class it definitly feels like a tire temp change happend... I find Hard slicks are going yellow faster... Hard tires would hardly ever Go yellow on Me they get yellow pretty Quick Now while Soft tires seem more Stable at higher track temps ---> I tested them Date was Sept 18, 2018 ( I think i had it to current weather, Im in NY) temps were 85 ambient and 100 track temp --> Hards will just barley get Hot but it takes more than a few laps and Softs Hold up pretty well ---> Both Hard and Soft Seem to have more Mechanical Grip.

Edit: I didnt pay attention to tire PSI because car Suspension tune was Stock/Default.... I would just use hard slick for everything 100 or over and all was well.... I never used soft for anything other than when track temp was below 85 mostly Online random lobbys But when I set up a race i set race date in june july.

Hey Grimey, thanks. I wish I could be more helpful but I am just too messed up right now, my antibodies are up and the meds aren't working anymore. I am going to switch meds but even the best case it takes 12 weeks to get a benefit if any. I can still do the Tri-Oval and Texas but not many people are interested in those. Anyway I can help a little with the XBOX and PS4 peeps who can't easily get setups with their constraints. For them not being able to get Ghost cars to measure themselves against is probably equally frustrating and slows the progress of the beginners compared to those starting on PC. Life is good!

Does anyone have a good base setup for the Ford Mustang Cobra Trans Am (GTO)?

Hi awaite85, sorry for your frustrations. There have been very few people running TT on PC but a couple have made progress with GT3s, patience and some of the good guys will get things sorted. Some are happy with the changes to the 488 Challenge and others seem happy with the Ferrari Pack cars and tracks so things are looking up.:D

As for the Cobra this hasn't been a very popular car, most of the runs have been Default. On PC TT I did find a couple of very good late patch 6.0 runs from Mechanical Mike, at Road America for example he is at 2:03.819:D which is right in there with the runs made by bytecruncher26 using his BMW 320 Turbo and the Zakspeed Capri. Bytecruncher26 is possibly the best GTO class driver we have on PC so that Mike is this close indicates he has a good setup. Sadly the Cobra hasn't been run very much in the GTO class compared to it's peers, in my testing at the Tri-Oval it is much faster than either the BMW or Capri so maybe it is down to the handling or it is lacking in the fun to drive category.

Would you like me to post Mike's RA setup so you could check it out?

Hey, sorry, I was comparing the Ford to the Group 5 cars instead of GTO, in GTO it's the Audi and F40 LM that have the upper hand against it. At the Tri-Oval the F40 LM blows it away, the Audi and the rest are seconds behind.

Oh, the Cobra is the only car running a solid axle, supposedly the real car actually ran with a ratchet LSD, there was a thread earlier in the Garage about this. Luckily you don't have to run this LSD.

Cool that you've figured it out. Weird that the Stable setups messed your tires up. I admit I don't use those Stable either because initially they were to help pad users. Maybe I should go back and do some one legged Tri-Oval runs with GT3 to see if I can get an idea on the new tire performance.

Ok, that is odd, I only tested 2 cars and I found the same issue as you with the understeering. Others have had an issue with oversteering so I guess it is depending on your hardware/control/FFB what issues you have more than the patch itself.

OK, I am going to post this guy's setup for the AMG GT3 at Monza even though no one has requested it. He has blown away the WRs for the GT3 class at Monza so the patch is going to work for some. He has upped the Slow Bumps quite a bit for this car and his Power Ramp is at 20. For the GT3s the new tires might have loads more grip, at least for him.

My big problem is the weight transition in the Ascari.. I fell that car is bumping out the track

Hey, Bashmo, the previous setup(SamFast's) had 0 rear downforce, the new one is at 2 so this might help you get through Ascari without running off track. Sam can drive his 0 downforce setup through Ascari so I would suspect it is possibly your inputs are not smooth enough through there or your driving line is not correct. It would probably be easier for you to learn if you could see/follow his Ghost but this isn't possible unfortunately. What lap times are you able to run without going off track?

Where are you running off track? At 7, the kink(right hander) between or 8(left) exit?

Ok, both setups have the Engine Braking set at 2, this is low. If you are about to go on the brakes going into the corner and suddenly release the throttle this Engine Braking will try and load the differential too much, combined with the reduced weight you have on the front tires if you are not braking it might be causing you problems. With the RSR you can go to 10 on Engine Braking, try this first and also maybe keep a little pressure on the brakes through these corners to avoid upsetting the weight transfer too much. Sorry for having to EDIT, I am trying to watch Moto GP qualifying on my PC as well and not too good at multitasking.:p Dang, they played so many games but Lorenzo and Dovisioso are 1 and 2 and Mark out foxed himself to 3rd.

but to limit the wait transfer during sequential turn, should i change the slow extension?

Hi, yes change the Engine Braking to 10 like in the screenshot(picture).
For now let's leave the Dampers alone, instead try slowing more through turn 7 so you are stable through the Ascari.
The track is mostly higher speed right hand turns(parapolica!) tire is a problem, tire wear is up to you a little, be less aggressive on turn in, try and be smoother.

Hey Blink, any good ones using a whell for the Porsche GT3 RS on Dubai Autodromo GP and Long Beach Street Circuit?

Hi Naotone. Sorry we don't have any of the latest patches, the most recent patch runs are from the 5.0 patch. This patch had the odd tires that affected some people more than others. Both of these setups are using Engine braking at Default of 4, for some people increasing the Engine Braking to a higher value helped them with the oversteer on corner entry with some cars. On the RS you have a lot of adjustment here, all the way to 15, so you can play with this if you have issues.

Hey, checked, nothing at Silverstone, the Custom run is over 5.5 seconds back. There is only 1 at Snetterton at 1:58.300 +0:01.859 but the Default run is cpcdem's and he has many WRs with the F 355 so pretty good. Similar runs at the other tracks, all are well behind his Default runs.

Hey thanks. Do you think the Mugello setup is good for the other tracks?

Well, I am guessing that in case a setup is much better than the default for one track, it should be more or less good for other (the "normal" ones), too. Not perfect, but should still be good as a base setup. To be honest I have not tried them, but I assume some general things like lowering ride height, decreasing brake pressure or adjusting the dif to make this car more stable under braking (needs much throttle while braking to keep it steady in default setup) should help globally.

Hey nanotone, we have a run by bytecruncher26 that is over 2(EDIT oops, sorry 0.745 :o) seconds ahead of the 2nd place run. I doubt bytecruncher would claim it is perfect, he probably found himself well clear of 2nd and stopped.;) He could probably improve so for now you have his best setup.

Ok Marovi, these will have to be mostly previous patches. On COTA there is a 6.0 patch at 2:05.171, there is a slower 7.0 run at 2:06.052, which would you prefer?

Hi Blink. Are you not adding links to the tunes on post #1 or 2 as you go along for the post patch 7 setups...as was being done for previous similar threads? Gonna be very difficult for those of us who want to see what setups may be available before asking as the thread grows, and also more difficult for you to add them the more time passes and setups are added.

Gonna be very difficult for those of us who want to see what setups may be available before asking as the thread grows, and also more difficult for you to add them the more time passes and setups are added.

Hi david. I added the WRs from the tracks where there is a history of a number of runs. I wasn't going to do Mugello because it is such a new track and the F355 runs where the majority of tracks have Default loose WRs. In my opinion the 7.0 patch will produce WRs with the GT3s so I was going to wait a while to give people a chance to set the WRs rather than just 7.0 runs that are off pace from where I believe they will be. Of course I can post runs where there were only 3(2) total runs made if you really think that is helpful.

I posted the first one from npocto 111 in the #1 post because I have in the past picked one run that I liked. I posted the 2nd run because someone requested it and it is also a WR. There are some realy good patch 7.0 runs that are WRs but no one has requested them yet and I didn't want to push things on people because this is a request thread, I pushed my one as I usually do.:)

Also, in the first post, I posted the link to the PC Leaderboard. With this link you can quickly look up a drivers history to see how they typically run. Let's take npocto 111 as an example. He is new and has only made a total of 33 runs at the major tracks, 32 of which are WRs. So I can look up a drivers history and just because he has been the only one to post a 7.0 run it doesn't mean that is a particularly good run that indicates the setup is good when it is over 2 seconds off the pace.

Hey nanotone, sorry about the Porsche problems. Here are the setups for Dubai and Long Beach, I went with a slightly slower 6.0 run for Long Beach so you had the same tire model with both setups.

So I don't really have a setup request as my setup is pretty good. I'm driving the Ford Cobra Mustang Trans Am (GTO) at Daytona. Have a pretty good setup for speed, but the car loses a ton of speed in the corners. I know these cars probably aren't ideal for the banking at Daytona but what can I do?

I tried adjusting the bump stop on the right side but that didn't help. I drop from about 190MPH down to 160MPH. Anyone know what to adjust to maintain that speed?

What?? I thought you were talking about the Ford Mustang Cobra TransAm GTO, 43.559, no draft of course. All of the top 3 are the same setup. FE shooter and I can usually use the same setup and be close. The top times are all old patch runs. The best 6.0 run is a 0:44.639. so there have been some tire changes and god only knows what else.
260715
Still with all the changes you can still get 190 through the corners. 208+ on the straights.

OK, here is one of my setups for 44.3XXs using the 7.0 patch. It isn't just one thing it is many changes. I was able to get a little back by changing the Gearing 5th gear to 1.050. It was either a strange coincidence or sel made his run to help you out with the 7.0 patch. Normally sel is quicker than me, he used Brembo's setup which I didn't realize was changed. Ok, as far as I can tell it is possibly your setup. Turn 4 exit is difficult but you should be consistently at 191/192, it's difficult to avoid all the bumps toward the inside but you have to get low to make good time. I am hitting around 212 mph at the entry to turn 1.

If you use my setup I gave you should be able to get in the low 45s with it, 190s corner speed. http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?64820-Setup-Requests-for-Consoles(pictures)-Post-Patch-7-0&p=1543393&viewfull=1#post1543393

as always much appreciate your help! i know that soft tyres if temp range in between 40-75 C° are faster than the hard ones. But the race is on 50°C tarmac.. it seems that after 5 laps the soft tyres are overheated and very slippery expecially i can feel that in the becket turns. It's hard to handle the 911 for 20 laps on that tires.. i need to try several times before figure out wich tyres are a better. Are you agree?
than i have one more question. i've already read the dampers post, but i can't understand at how the transition works. Where is better to have a fast transition to the fast dampers and where the viceversa?

Hey Bashmo, yes I agree that you are testing which tires are better over the longer runs. I can't do many laps so maybe the Hards will be better.

I haven't adjusted the fast dampers, I rarely see any adjustments to these in TT setups. I believe visceral syn stated early in Casey's thread to the effect that the slow adjustments are where the driver's inputs to the car are adjusted. The fast adjustments are where the road interacts with the car. So if you are having difficulty with a particularly bumpy road surface then you can start adjusting the fast settings, the Engineer also has advice here but if you read the recommendations this can be really time consuming.
This is why I don't see adjustments to the Fast Dampers/Transitions.
You Can also adjust the surface details globally in your FFB settings. The FX adjustment is possibly the most impactful. Too low and so much detail is lost that you feel "numb" such as at 0. You need to set this where you like it.
260902
Some drivers program a button so they can adjust FFB per car/track. Doing this can help optimize how you "feel" a certain car behave at a specific track. There are a few people who are very good at running Default setups where the FFB is their primary adjustment.

i know that the fast rebound and compression are affected by the track surface, for example now on silverstone that is very bumpy i reduced the fast compressione for a smooth driving and increase the rebound for the stability (just to be shure if i lower the M/S i'm going to increase the compression/rebound, isn'it?) but i want to figure out where is worth to have a fast transition e where a slow one.

i know that the fast rebound and compression are affected by the track surface, for example now on silverstone that is very bumpy i reduced the fast compressione for a smooth driving and increase the rebound for the stability (just to be shure if i lower the M/S i'm going to increase the compression/rebound, isn'it?) but i want to figure out where is worth to have a fast transition e where a slow one.

Ok, good for you, you are already making more adjustments than most.:) When you were running Sam Fast's setup at Monza he had increased both the Slow bump and the Bump transition on the Front. This should have made the front feel very stiff, reactive. If you have your slow bumps at a low value you can increase the Transition to get a slower/softer response. So, you said you reduced the Fast Compression, for smoother driving because of the bumpy surface, if you want even more smoothing you should be able to increase the transition.

Hey, I checked the setup for Silverstone and there were no Damper changes, just Bump Stops. Sorry, only referring to the front end.:o Are you working on both ends of the car? Oops, sorry again, looking at the wrong setup, no changes to Bump Stops. He just really stiffened the rear.

Hey, just to be clear, I have only one useable arm and a barely useable right leg which limits what I can do. I can only run Ovals. What I did was change the Bump transitions to see if there was any affect on speed. The Bump transitions have no effect. No advantage, disadvantage through the bumps on this track whether transitions are high or low.

I understand what you said. Maybe on an oval track the transition doesn't affect a lot. On a track like sakitto maybe a bit more. Anyway just to be sure, if I lower the m/a I stiff the dampers, correct? But for the transition is the viceversa more N means more slow damping , less N means more fast damping. I need to figure out how the dampers work, because i believe that is the part the most affects the performance.

Yeah that is pretty much as I understand it, if you increase the compression/rebound you can lower the transitions and if you decrease the compression/rebound you can increase the transition. All this if you are going for a more subdued setup. As far as I can tell your springs and camber have a greater impact, then the Soft Bump, then Rebound. The Fast Bump/Rebound and all transitions have the lesser magnitude effects, the transitions being the least.

I did some additional tests, if I maxed out all the transition settings(either high or low) I could eventually slow the car(RSR) down by 0.020. I did the Rebound transitions as well.

I don't know how to objectively test the transitions on a road course. I can usually repeat my laps on the Oval within a couple of thousandths of a second. I don't think most people can repeat their laps on a road course that well. If you "feel" the car drives better for you when adjusting the transitions then that is all that matters.

Ok, I have checked the top 25 TT runs at Silverstone GP with the RSR. I found 4 or 5 runs with changes made to the Damper transitions. Of these the quickest was just over 2.2 seconds slower than the WR. The rest were around 3 to 4 seconds slower. Anyway here are the transition settings for the quickest run.

Hey, I don't if he does. He is really involved in coding though and might have an idea. Just an FYI I have checked his setups in TT and have not found any where he made adjustments to the Transitions. You will be the Pathfinder leading the way into the Transition Zone.:)

Hello Blink.

Can you arrange a setup for the Zolder track to the Huracan GT3 and the Acura NSX GT3?

Here is the NSX, it looks to be a very quick run, equal to the Huracan runs. Question, there is a 6.0 run for the Huracan at 1:31.446 +0:00.760, that way you would be on the same patch with both, is that ok?

Ok, the Combined is a 4.0 patch. I think you can lower the ride height to 75F/80R and it could help on the Oval part. http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?60835-Setup-Requests-for-Consoles(pictures)-Post-Patch-4-0&p=1544446&viewfull=1#post1544446

Hi Blink. Just did some practice laps. This tune for some reason is producing major damage in some area. Not sure if it's engine, mechanical or what.
When I first inputted the settings towards the end of the inputs a notification came up it produced "Terminal......damage". This before being allowed to save.
I'm wondering it it was to do with ride height or some other adjustment. I then loaded a "Default" and it didn't exhibit damage.

I made some minor adjustments to your tune (raising Radiator %, and also Ride Height a bit too) to see if it would make a difference and tested but it still exhibited damage as indicated by/on the car symbol...numbers rising by the back....some crazy high numbers 20+-30+. and car symbol turning yellow. I've attached a pic for reference.
What does this area represent? I could never figure out.
Could you investigate further and see what adjustment can be made to get the bess tune for it but with it not exhibiting such damage or high damage?
The existing may be good for 1 lap but by about 2 or 3plus may be a bit chancy. And I'm sure we'll have to go approx 10 laps before pitstop mid-way through the race. Here's the pic screenshot. The drawn arrow points to what I'm talking bout.

Hey david, I don't know really. Maybe it is just the difference between platforms? First of all I noticed I started with the fuel level low, it was red, said I could only run 1 lap but of course I ran 2;). So I increased the fuel level, opened up the radiator and ran 10 laps. I ran my best lap on lap 8, it was a little slower than my WR because of the radiator opening but I really wasn't pushing much, just trying to run laps and see if I could get the damage you were noticing. Oh, I always run damage set at "Authentic". Oh, probably opened up the radiator too much and put in too much fuel as well but I was in a hurry. So even at 9 laps completed I was still only about 2 tenths(sorry, 0.121, I can't see anymore worth a flip, had to blow it up) off the WR just cruising.

I don't think it's the radiator though because when I raised it to 50-75 it still produced the type of damage indicated on the car symbol to the back there. Why I thought it may be something else the culprit...perhaps ride height or something else. Was wondering if maybe it was too low so as to be making body contact with the track causing erosion.

Just did another test. 10 laps. Think th ehigh damage before may be due to following the first "Terminal......Damage" notification. when I applied the tune (with some adjustments...radiator and ride height)) I had not adjusted the last gear as you had (as previously thought that may have been the culprit). Was testing by trial and error, step by step.
Just put the last gear as you had now and this time the damage didn't reach that astronomical amount 0f 20-30+. This time it reached "10-11". This after 10 laps as said. Kinda still high though IMO.

Well, you are maxing the rpm of the engine, the only reduction in rpm is through the corners and you still have the throttle floored so some damage is going to happen. I guess you could open up the radiator more but if your race is only 10 laps why worry about it.

Yeah could be the maxing out of the RPM as you say could be what's accounting for the high number damage indicated. Wish I knew what that part of the car icon represented though.

Ok, I increased the radiator opening to 25%, I also changed the gearing to get les rpm. At the start of lap 10 my oil temp was only 230 this time and my Engine damage was less. I was also a lot slower, over a 9 lap run I was just over 3 seconds slower compared to the higher damage run. As soon as you get off the gas the temp. drops dramatically(as would happen when you pit). So, you just need to decide if having lower damage is worth slowing down over 3 seconds per every 9 laps. Also, after Patch 6.0 there was a thread about how you don't lose Engine torque(power) in relation to the Engine damage up until the point it blows up. So unless this was fixed in the recent patch
I don't think there is much to worry about.

Thought I'd give you an update Blink.
Remember I told you when I was inputting the settings you gave me for the Oval tune?... (Lotus 72D - Monza Historic Oval)....how somewhere along inputting a notification came up saying "TERMINAL DAMAGE"? At that point it would not allow me to go any further except for exiting out of the Settings menu. Same thing happened while inputting the tune for the "Monza Historic Oval+GP Mix" tune. In each instance what I had to do was exit out of Settings....Reload Settings again and when I reloaded I was then able to input the tune with no error message popping up. Very strange. I'm thinking it must be a bug for that car and tracks or whatever. Could even be a bug with the latest 7.0 patch I dunno.

I also mentioned to you before while doing practice laps with the Oval tune (also happened with the Oval+GP Mix tune too) that some incredibly high damage number was being exhibited on the part of the car symbol.
Well guess what? I just created a "Create Online Event" to further practice this time against AI (15 AI). Same exact tune on Monza Historic Oval (I even had Radiator at 20%)...Same weather conditions....10 Laps.
Lo and behold no such damage was indicated. Matter of fact the damage number remained at "0".
Isn't that strange? Same tune in Practice laps with same weather conditions, same amount of laps.....Same for "Create Online Event", yet high damage indicated during Practice and No damage during Online Event.

BTW, the tunes turned out quite good. Only one more to go which is the Monza GP which I haven't found the time to do yet but will soon.

AOR returns and that means you get a Portimao week. Can I have one for the 650S?

Hey Earthshaker, it's only a patch 3.0. It's odd how some tracks fall into disuse. http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?58129-Setup-Requests-for-Consoles(pictures)-Post-Patch-3-0&p=1545228&viewfull=1#post1545228

Well, PCARS2 has 3 times more car/track layout combinations than PCARS1 did, so naturally a lot of them will have very few entries!

The track has a lot of entries. It might be a car/track for career, since there are few new players there are few recent runs. The majority of the runs are patch 3.0.

Hey Nanotone, the base setup for the car appears to be the Default Loose setup. The only track I could find with a similar track temperature to the Porsche Circuits was Hockenheim. The Hockenheim ambient/track was still hotter by about 10 degrees F though so you will have to increase the tire pressures at least 3 clicks to start to keep from loosing pressure and close the brake ducts a little more.

Cheers for doing this blinkngone, much appreciated. Is there any setups for BMW M3 GT4? Driving it in career and I don't like how it handles at all. Almost every other BMW feels great, but I just can't get along with this. Next race is at Zolder, but interested in any setups from any track.

Hey, here is Casey's tire pressures for Touring Cars, "Touring cars & V8 Supercar: 2.0-2.15bar front and rear". I am not sure where you will be at such a cool track when you start out but tire pressures may drop during your run. A few things you can do to keep tire pressures up. Start at higher pressure, use the brake ducts to keep pressure up and possibly increase the camber as well.

Hey nanotone, maybe you could thow out a lifeline and ask bytecruncher26 to help you with a setup with the Porsche Full Circuit. Sometimes he reads this thread or you can PM him.:)

OOps. Road car tires: All in the 2.1-2.2bar (29-32psi) range hot. Any MotorTrend readers will know how much they stop every few laps and bleed pressure to hold that target during the BDC tests.

Ok, let's start with Zolder. If it helps you out just make up a list of tracks and we'll see if we can get additional setups. At Zolder davidcharlesmorris has a patch 7.0 WR. Just be aware that he has almost all LSDs On, it doesn't matter really because once you turn the Spool On it overrides the other settings, so you just might want to go with the Default Loose LSD which I'll post as well, in case the Spool gives you problems. FYI this time for the BMW is over 1.5 seconds slower than the other GT4s(G55, Cayman, KTM and slightly slower than the AM and G86) at this track, so it's slowest. You will probably have to reduce the AI skill/aggressiveness so a Custom Race run would help you.

For touring cars the tire pressures I have personally found to work the best are 1.7 to 1.8, at least for the FWDs. Just a hint, to try this as well as the suggested pressures. Only talking about the TC class though, I have no experience with the V8s.
