I have both these wheels and have tried them both with PC2 with default settings. On default settings at least I find them both to be similar in feel. Reading on these forums it looks like there are huge benefits to custom settings for any wheel and can also be tedious to find the perfect settings. Since I don't want to spend a bunch of time setting up 2 wheels, which of these 2 wheels has the greatest potential if I spend the time to set it up. The one thing I don't like about the T300 rs is that the wheel is lose on the base and it wiggles a bit and is very annoying. Haven't looked into it to much and maybe fixable. Also my rig was built with the G27 so would have to modify it a bit if I was to go with the T300 rs. Don't factor in the pedals as I use separate pedals.

OK so 2 for T300. Just curious are you basing your opinion only on how the wheel feels or are you also considering looks, reliability or anything else. Have you tried the G27 to compare? And could you share your t300 settings.

The Thrustmaster is way superior in terms of feel, but for the reliability it's the exact opposite ....

While I don't have much experience with the T300(Tested at friend's place, without playing with configs), I can say say that both need minimal FFB tuning to get the most out of them.

With that said, I'm pretty sure the T300 can yield better FFB when setup correctly, since it has a smaller deadzone. From my PoV, this is really the biggest con of the G27.

I only had a G29 next to my T300 to test against each other once.. and back then i found the T300 absolutely superior to the G29. in both smoothness (g29 does plastic rattling, cant explain it otherwise) as in changable add on possibilities. G27 i also used years ago.. and i still think that one was better than the G29 i tried about a year ago.

Indeed, the T300 is a lot faster / smoother / quieter (belt vs helical gears)

The FFB is light years better on the T300 than the Logitech products. Also, Logitech has had QA issues with their drivers the last few years. I was never happier than when I switched over to a Thurstmaster device. Now, Thrustmaster hasn't always been seen in a good light, but right now they have superior products compared to Logitech.

Looks like it's unanimous. I was able to get rid of most of the "wiggle" in the wheel I mentioned in my first post be tightening the allen bolts on the face of the wheel. Now I just have to re-position the mounting plate on my rig to get same position of the wheel I had with the G27. And then play with the settings. Thanks for all your feedback.

I use the pedals from my old g27 through an adapter with my t300 and recommend that setup.

I already have Protosimtech PT2 pedals.
