    Double downshifting

Really cheesed of with this game, I bought it ages ago but couldn't get to grips with using a pad, and my G25... well we all know about that. So now I finally have a shiny new G29, used the excellent guides here to set everything up and have had good fun in the Clio's, moved on now to driving the RS1600 Historic at Oulton Park and the and thing keeps double/triple shifting into first and spinning out. It sims like this keeps coming up on the forums and getting denied as an issue. Any ideas apart from mapping different buttons?

true, I don't necessarily expect a console game to be perfect on release date but having given it nearly a year from when I bought it I would have thought the basics would work.

Yeah, but all cars i try all shift well , haven't tried the RS for a while , probably since patch2.0
I drive with auto clutch off using a clutch pedal and with the appropriate shifter per car .
Not sure what is going on in your case .

I don't have a shifter at the moment so using paddles for everything, maybe that's the issue?

Are you using auto-clutch with the paddles?

well, I always have it off. Why should I have it on? AFAIK in sequential cars it doesn't make a difference and I can just use H the same way. AND, I get the benefit of not letting the cars slow start at the green light - I always use the clutch to get moving.

My feedback is always on default setup unless stated otherwise. Auto-Clutch is OFF
Still hoping for Estoril one day

I use auto-clutch with oaddles and i get occasonal double downshifts (never double upshifts) on my g27

Not sure what to do about it. (I thought controller code was lut in as a safety measurw to prevent this?)

Could be my perception but it seems to happen more in my initial races and subsides in subsequent sessions. (Placebo-risk: HIGH)
