depends on the mood of your wife.
Some could use this button to close and lock the door
Every car could be a race car, as long as you have the balls to drive it like that !

Not ready yet. Still looking for a nice solution for the keyboard, mouse and 2nd screen (tablet).
Beside that I’m happy with this Sim-lab rig. Very stable and firm. Very relaxed to race in. Much much much better than the Playseat Evolution I had. I used the seat from the playseat as I do not have an other seat atm. But it fits nicely and I can slide the whole seat forwards and backwards.

Great! I also PM you, but it seems it didn't work... so also in here in english: did you have much trouble with attaching the PlaySeat chair to the SimLab chassis? And can you use the slider?

Although I don't have a rig as such, I have a plain old office desk and lots of pigging fun I thought I might as well share a project of mine, that's taken just over five and half months to complete (5 months waiting...Waiting...And waiting for parts, a good friend owed me one and came up trumps, and nothing to do with Donald btw)

I love the Fanatec stuff but the shifter SQ has always looked to me just so blah, blah,...Bland, I modded the fanatec shifter some years ago, with a flat coster ring and some leather (i lost those pics, I posted it somewhere, I'm getting old and can't remember where lol!) but that fell apart
I wanted to do something more like a real car, and something specific, I was looking to buy some 15 years ago now, an Mk1 Audi TT (she didn't like the style so, we had the Suzuki Liana instead) I remember about the Mk1 Audi TT having an upgraded aluminium gear surround and a rubber gaiter.
So, I wanted to get as close to that as possible without spending money. So, enter my friend, working in a car breakers yard coming up trumps (that was the five months waiting)What did the aluminium gear surround and a rubber gaiter cost? = 0, Nothing, Zilch, Zero

While I was waiting and because of the way the rubber gaiter worked and sat, I had to make a small wooden frame so that the surround would sit flat, not only that I had to follow the shifters curved top, I stuck the frame to the Shifter using double-sided carpet tape, so it won't be that hard to remove
I painted the frame black and covered it with an old jacket that had a black lining I am very pleased how it turned out... And here is the finished results...There is a small picture at the bottom showing the Audi TT gear stick and upgraded surround

    Hi there,

finally, I have finished my racing seat equipment. Based on ('Topgear' modified') Playseat Extreme, FANATEC components and an additional handbrake (modified). Now I have added the desperately needed console for mouse & keyboard, based on a factory product with a modified clamp to fit with Playseat. Actual pictures including the handbrake will follow soon.
    Feedback welcome

    Cheers

Looks really nice congrats on "finishing" the build, but you must be new to sim racing as a Sim rig is never "finished", lol

... yes, you're right mate - but it is my 4th simrig ( 1st one was built from scratch by myself) and I am driving sim racing games for more than 15 years now.
This one should be the final stage.
