[RESOLVED - START LOGITECH PROFILER FIRST] Game will not start.

Hi, when I try to launch the game through Steam it only gets as far as the Slightly Mad Studios screen then the game minimises to the taskbar and cannot be recovered. When I click on the button or select it using Alt+Tab I hear music from the game but nothing else happens and the only way to shut the game down is by right clicking on it and selecting 'Close Window'. I've tried verifying the game cache in Steam and tried starting the game with my firewall and anti-virus disabled. I've also uninstalled then reinstalled the game and I have also reinstalled my graphics driver but the game will still not work.

    My system specs are:

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
    Processor: Intel Core i7 2600K 3.4 GHz
    Memory:16 GB Ram
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780Ti (Driver version 350.12)

    Thank you.

If you have Logitech controller(wheel), make sure you start the Logitech profiler software before starting Project Cars., it has a habit of taking focus away from pCars. This is a Logitech issue with there software i believe. Also make sure your running as administrator. You can also put Project Cars on the exception list of any A/V software you have running aswell to prevent other issues.

Yes I have a G27, I did what you suggested and started the profiler before starting Project Cars and the game started no problem, so that appears to have worked! Thank you very much for your help.

If you are using an older version of the Logitech profiler, update it to the newest version and it should work fine with pCARS without the starting first work around.

The latest version I am using is lgs510_x64.exe, from the Logitech site. I have not seen any newer version listed.

    Hi,
I know that this topic is resolved but i also have the same problem here... Sometimes the game launches the way it should but sometimes it stays minimized. When this happens the only thing I do is restart my computer and then sometimes it works again..

    Here is my config :
    OS : Win 7 64bit
    Processor : i5-3470 @ 3.2 GHz
    GPU : AMD Radeon R9 270X (Driver 14.12)
    RAM : 8 GB

    Logitech devices :
    - Momo racing force feedback wheel
    - G430 Headset

If you have any A/V programs, for a test maybe you can turn it off while playing Project Cars for a test to see if issue still persists. If that helps add the Project Cars folder to the exception list of your A/V program.
Other windows/program processes may be stealing focus away from Project Cars aswell.,so maybe disable anything not needed for startup. ie.,MSI Afterburner etc. I assume you are starting any Logitech products software before you start up Project Cars as posted above?

TIP...start project Cars in windowed mode a few times.,it will be easier to notice any windows pop-ups or other software popups taking focus away or asking for permissions.
