AMD graphics - bad drivers - drivers updated!

Is someone (SMS or AMD) working on the fix of poor performance with AMD GPU? Because at this state it is just sad. AMDs most powerful card R9 290x has performance like Nvidias mid range GTX 660Ti or GTX 670. I have never seen such a lack of power on one side of GPU manufacturer.
    Here is link to benchmarks:

I hope it will be fixed in next few days...

Yes, the are working on it. Together with AMD...

The AMD performance was really good at some times...

It seems to be a driver issue...

It's a driver issue, there's little for us to work on internally in terms of code. The game was 30-40% faster with earlier drivers from AMD. Their latest drivers have caused the issue. We are working with them to remedy this.

In the interim, which are the best AMD drivers?

AMD CrossFire: AMD is actively working closely with Slightly Mad Studios to enhance the overall performance of Project CARS in ADM GPUs. Up until Driver 14.xx, Crossfire didn't worked quite well. This was addressed in 15.3 and 15.4 Drivers. If you are a AMD GPU user, stick to 15.3/15.4 Drivers

Please read the stickies for bonus info!

As perfectly stated by GT500, try those drivers.

If you're a Daredevil or a guy who like experimenting, search around for modded Windows10 drivers for using in Windows8, those are even faster BEWARE that t hat's heavily unsupported scenario

The modded Windows 10 drivers gave me a nice boost, but I'm tempted to try and install the Windows 10 preview, because that gives a very nice boost in pCARS (~30%+).

My dual boot system (bigPC noted on sig) has 50% better Minimum FPS, and 30% better Average on Windows10 over Windows8.

Thus, It is much more unstable than Win8. Win10 crashes often to me, so beware of that!

On my rig in my sig I dual boot it. Win 7 gives me worse performance than 8.1. I do all my gaming in Win8.1 now. Waiting patiently for Win10RC.
