    Project BUGS?

I see and hear a lot of disappointment about Project Cars mostly because of the bugs. I've experienced those bugs myself on PS4, it's annoying and ruin the game but... Driving in a sim has never felt so right!!! For me who drove about every "racing sim" on PC and Console.... I must say that the physic engine is a MASTERPIECE!!! Dynamic weather and Day/Night transition are also a great feature! All we need is the commitment from the devs to their baby in order to fix what needs to be fixed... Of course I would have preferred to have the perfect sim in a box... Let's be patient for the patches to come.

Master Ian, I'm really honored to see you on my thread! You are responsible of so many hours of great simracing time in my life since GTR! Sorry for the subject of the thread, It's just something I heard this morning and against I had to argue with a colleague. Honestly, Project CARS is amazing. It needs bug fixes but the core of the sim is here and is AMAZING! Can't wait to drive my M1 Procar around Zolder tonight! Keep up the good work guys!

Again guys, we acknowledge there are some issues and we're urgently working on fixing them.
Congratulations for good press reviews, but I would like to point out that every reviewer has to consider a certain ratio:

features the game offers/how buggy it is

The fact that reviewers were mainly blown out with the features does not mean the game is not buggy. It is out for 2 working and 2 weekend days now and there were already 25+ serious specific bugs found solely in PC version that should not make it to the final game. These bugs are so objective and serious that obvious problems like these below (that do not even require you to own and play the game) are not even considered as a glitches.

This article was a main story for almost two days on N4G.

    And I'm not talking about...

People having serious problems with AI

People having serious problems with force feedback

    Negative Steam reviews

    http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/pr...?dist=negative

    http://www.amazon.de/product-reviews...DateDescending

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-revi...DateDescending

    http://www.amazon.fr/product-reviews...DateDescending

If you consider the ratio of positive vs. negative customer reviewers, it makes an impression that these problems are quite serious.

I do not want to defame the game, there is a great potential in it for sure, but it is not there yet. There is still a long way. People like me are eagerly waiting for some official word on these, so we can finally buy the game (some of us with brand new hardware for hundreds of bucks) and not worry about problems.

Talking about pCARS2 in this situation didn't make your customers happy either.

When your main highlight is a brake-light reflection showing through a windscreen upright for a frame, I'm erring on thinking you might be a tad negative.

There has been multiple official 'word' on issues and we're on them.

If we don't start on new work then we have 40 of our 128 staff out of a job. That wouldn't be prudent and isn't how we operate. You won't have heard it before from other companies for 'marketing reasons' but all games of this type, 'i.e.' a planned and so far successful franchise, start work on the sequel before the original is finished. We've actually delayed that normal process to allow the WMD members to give their input from the off. So if that doesn't make customers happy then they're misinformed. The remaining racing staff are focused on pCARS1 fixes, improvements, updates and DLC.

That's how the industry works. It's just not how you'll have heard it before.

    1) It is not a reflection. Try to have another look at it.
(edit: I took original "windscreen" argument back - read a reason for editing below)

    2) The picture is not my main highlight. My main argument was this:

If all above was the case, you wouldn't have to spend upcoming months fixing 25+ serious bugs. You would just fix those little imperfections I illustrated on pictures above. Assuming from what I've heard from SMS staff, you will probably never get to a situation "fine, everything crucial is done, we can afford to fix just little details" (although pretty annoying "details" for guys who waited on pCARS release in order to finally buy 3x 4k screens and 2x Titan Z solely for the purpose of maximum enjoyment of gameplay and replays of the game).

I'm being a bit jolly Andrewz. I do appreciate you laying out the issues in such a clear manner and we are collating them and giving them full attention.

I can only say that things will get better and better. Which is nice as we are starting from a well received base in general. We're 100% committed to making this the best racing sim ever and to stay ahead of the competition into the future. That does not mean ignoring extant issues for sequels. It means we'll put non stop work into this until the sequel appears, and who knows, maybe even after.

Thank you mister Bell for this wonderful game and thank you for staying so committed to fix this game. One thing really keeps boggling my mind and that is the UI. I can understand most of the bugs like that example with the braking lights get overlooked. I guess I would never had noticed this if it wasn't mentioned in this thread but the UI on consoles is beyond my comprehension how this could pass quality control. I'm not a dev but I think there is a lot of work still in that area. It's not an issue of taste but usability. I really wonder who was in charge of that and why are they stil employed? To me the UI is like an afterthought. It's unreadable lots of the time and the workflow is totally beyond logics. These are things you can see immediately so I don't understand how this made it in to a final build.

Sorry for the negative tone, rest assured I love the game.
