    Post Wheel rebound/centering on/off between sessions

    I'm having an issue with my Fanatec wheel on PC whereby the return/centering spring seems to vary between hard on and completely off between sessions.

    The former feels completely wrong, centering the wheel automatically and rapidly even when stationary. I'm having to constantly apply heavy force to turn the wheel.

    The latter feels right. It centers when moving forwards but not so violently and the wheel is much lighter to turn.

    Restarting the session sometimes fixes it but it's f'ing annoying.

    I've tried with default settings and with Jack Spades files ((which feel great when the centering isn't on).

    Am I missing a setting in or out of game?

    To an extent but that's not particularly unexpected. In a kart for example trying to turn the wheels when stationary should be hard as your rubbing rubber on Tarmac. But then at the same time once turned to a position I think the the wheel should logically stay in the same place, not rebound to the centre, when your stationary.

    Jack posted info on this in his thread. You can set the parameters affecting these to 'false':
    <value DisableLockSpring="true" />
    <value DisableSlowSpring="true" />
    I think the second parameter of for Soft FFB. Double check his FFB mod thread.

    Think I've managed to fix this this morning. Upgraded the wheel firmware and drivers. I suspect it was a fight between constantly resetting presets on the wheel and the game.

    This is what i'm talking about, the auto center force when stationary. It's not logic and also much strong.
