    Unplayable controller, Lovely game though.

The controller is most players way to play on the PS or XBOX so how come haven't you got any setting being playable with the controller?
I actually spun the BMW 1M at 40 KM/h, that's around 24 MPH, with all electronics on, don't think I've ever spun my BMW 125 and that's 100 bhp lower output, especially not with electronics on.
You have to fight the controller instead of rubber against tarmac and racing lines which just makes it ANNOYING not SIMULATION.
If you need help with the controller, just ask (you made it real clear that this game is developed together with the community, wonder if any XBOX or PS players were involved), cause this is unplayable.
Mail me when you have fixed the controller issues cause I'll be playing Drive Club 'till then.

You should try Mode2 for the controls. Way better IMHO

Have you made any adjustments for the controller setting ?

Yes they should have made a better default setting for controller users, as it is pretty sensitive to the least amount of input.

Theres a few topics on the forums that have helped me get a good controller setting.

I agree. Having the tail let go at such slow speeds is an issue. I've played around with the controller settings but even if you manage to win the setting lottery it is only for that one car. Tweaking and re tweaking the settings is just masking the problem. Getting on the throttle to straighten up is something that can cause you grief if it's too much too soon but frankly at slow speeds it should not be nearly as exaggerated as it is.

I don't know what your problem is but I use the controller just fine. Mode 3 with a bit more sensitivity I'm finding perfect for my driving style. You also have to be gentle on the accelerator, you can't just squeeze it full, it's a simulator so just like real life you have to gradually push it in gently.

It took me about 30 minutes to get used to it, but now I am beating 100% AI with the controller.

This is exactly what I'm doing. I'm comparing the game to driving performance cars I've been fortunate to own/drive. None of which throw the tail out at 25mph with a prudent application of power.

Sure, going back into the settings (yet again) can mask some of the issues. I wish there was a clear explanation within the settings UI that describes exactly what is what. While appreciate those posting up their settings it's just such a crap shoot on exactly what you are affecting, nothing seems to scale from car to car, it's a constant battle between you and the settings screen. It swings back and forth from having a great time at RA with a bmw e30 to having to completely change things when driving a ford escort in Monaco. Im not talking about adjusting to a completely different car, it's you have to tweak the settings again for the car to react to driving fundamentals.

This game has been in development a long time and it seems those involved have become so familiar with the settings they forgot about those that are experiencing it for the first time.

I got these settings from SilentChill in the controller thread and they transformed the game for me.
    Give them a try.
I have it set to mode 2 then change the sliders as below.
From twitchy to stable just like that.

    Steering deadzone - 5
    Steering sensitivy - 0
    Throttle deadzone - 5
    Throttle sensitivy - 0
    Brake deadzone - 5
    Brake sensitivy - 0
    Clutch deadzone - 5
    Clutch sensitivy - 0
    Speed sensitivy - 70
    Control filtering sensitivy - 40
    Force feedback - 90
Controller Input Mode 1/2/3 - Doesnt matter as you have already changed all the settings above ^^^
    Advanced settings - on
    Soft Steering Dampening - On
    Visual Wheel Filtering - Off
    Opposite Lock Help - Off

Thanks Skanda-Five. I'll give them a go this afternoon. I want to start actually tuning my car but this controller thing is a bigger hurdle than it really needs to be.

I was racing last night and totally short circuited when the same steering input worked fine at 100mph but spun me at 35-40mph. Weird. Watched the replay over and over again and could not find a sane explaination for it.
