    Floating Skid Mark Decals

    Only happened the once and disappeared when I restarted the session

    ahaha ive seen them floating a few inches off the ground in the DK2 before but nothing like that lol, i'd be ducking going underneath those ahahah.

    We used to get that a long time ago but was fixed, looks like one slipped though maybe?
    It's not skid marks it's the racing line.

    I've seen those floating lines in the game too, at random times, at a number of different tracks.

    I know there's floating skid marks on Sakitto.
    Just a few inches above the track in the first corner after start/finish.

    Yeah I see them at a number of tracks as well

    Guys, technically, all of the skid marks float over the track surface. Usually, they are close enough to the track surface that you cannot tell the difference (and this was also one of the many reasons the free cam wasn't made public as it highlights these little tricks). It is an issue when it's several feet above the surface.

    I can tell same trick is used for the shadows as well, because sometimes they disappear into the surface
