    Freezing Up

Has anyone else had an issue where the game freezes up after just a few minutes of being open, and you're unable to do anything to close it, such as Alt+Tab, Alt+F4, or Ctrl+Alt+Del. Just have to restart computer. I recently upgraded my motherboard and processor and I wasn't having any issues before that. I also went into my nVidia GeForce Experience program and set it to optimize the game, so I'm not sure if perhaps there is something in the settings there that is causing it to crash out. The first time it crashed on me, I didn't even get to drive any before it froze, then the second time I was in the middle of a race and it froze up.

I originally did the upgrade, then tried to run it on my original hard drive, but I didn't like how it was running, so I threw in the Windows 7 disk and did a clean install. I think I have it figured out now. It was something that changed when I set the nVidia Geforce Experience to optimize the game, because I went in and reverted to the original settings and it worked fine for me. I was able to do a lap and a half around Nurburgring in a Focus RS and didn't have any problems. Anyway, my new parts are an MSI Z97 Gaming 5 motherboard, Intel i7-4790K Devil's Canyon 4.0Ghz, ASUS Poseidon GeForce GTX 780 3GB, 16GB (4x4GB) Kingston HyperX DDR3-1866.

    Are you overclocking the Poseidon????

I have an ASUS Poseidon GeForce GTX980 and when I overclocked the GPU past 1400 PCars would run really well but crash just like what your describing but just during a race. It would freeze and I had to restart to get PCars to load again.
