But it looks like you need to use a PC running Windows 10 to act as the interface between the two.

The XBox will be running windows 10 at one point this year, so will probably be enough to stream directly to the oculus.

Whats to laugh at ? its another function of the device and for people who dont have the space for big tv's this would be a great substitute to give the impression you are playing on a big screen ...

Interesting feature I guess. Not sure why you wouldnt just fill the entire view with the picture or atleast as much as makes for comfortable viewing.

More interested in the fact though that xbox will support oculus. I was under the impression it wasnt going to. If it works well it might be a future purchase.

You need a powerful PC running it behind the scenes. Pre orders at the end of this year are approx $1500 and gives you the PC aswell.

These guys lost their window of opportunity with the inexplicable delay to release the product. I have a friend who is already playing Project Cars in real 3D using just a 2K cellphone with a Google Cardboard. (He teaches anyone how to do it here, although the videos are in Portuguese). The feeling of immersion is amazing!

Edited: Specifically, this is his first video with PC, Google Cardboard and motion sim. He had some technical difficulties at first, but now it is working flawlessly.

l guess you missed the whole point of virtual reality.
You're supposed to be inside the world, not in front of yet another screen.

What's to say this world isn't just a room with a big screen?
