Marek LMP1/ Audi LMP1 Custom tunes

    Hi All,

I am looking at improving my times for Le Mans 24hr circuit and was looking at some setups. I am not very good at this sort of stuff so wanted to see if people had some good advice or some setups they can post. My best time is 3:33:544.

    Thanks

You can see my Audi R18 setup at the end of this video:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuK3Jiep2Ec
It is a bit old and I use 0/0 downforce now, but I found it easier to learn to drive faster by starting with higher downforce, then as I get comfortable with the speed and breaking points I slowly make it lower and lower until I can handle 0/0.

I also put my RWD P30 setup in the comments of this video:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_nnttnLBSA

This is what is in the comment:
    All symmetrical.

    Front tire pressure: 1.80
    Rear tire pressure: 1.78
    Brake pressure: 82%
    Brake balance: 60%
    Brake duct:38%
    Front downforce:0
    Rear downforce: 0
    Longitudinal Weight Bias: 50.5%

    Steering ratio: 11.4:1
    Caster angle: 7.5
    Front camber:-1.9
    Rear camber: -1.5
    Front toe-in angle: -0.1
    Rear toe-in angle: 0.1

    Front ride height: 63mm
    Rear ride height:73mm
    Front spring rate: 160N/mm
    Rear spring rate: 140N/mm
    Front sway bar: 500N/mm
    Rear sway bar: 25N/mm

    Front bump stop: 34mm
    Rear bump stop: 34mm
    Front slow bump: 12100N/mm
    Rear slow bump:12300N/mm
    Front fast bump: 3800 N/mm
    Rear fast bump: 4000N/mm
    Front slow rebound: 14500N/mm
    Rear slow rebound: 13700N/mm
    Front fast rebound: 5200 N/mm
    Rear fast rebound: 4900N/mm

    Limited slip acceleration lock:20%
    Limited slip deceleration lock: 20%
    Limited slip preload: 60%
    Viscous lock: 0.01%
    Radiator: 50%

    Final drive: 3.22
    1st: 2.57
    2nd: 2.06
    3rd: 1.76
    4th: 1.47
    5th: 1.28
    6th: 1.15

The radiator settings is much lower for time trial, and during the hottest part of the day you will need to short shift and lift the throttle a bit early before breaking to keep the engine below 115, but it will be faster during cooler hours.

Sorry, I have no idea about controller configuration, maybe someone else can help with those.
I use a wheel and never messed around with the controller settings.

I also disable all assists, so I suppose if you use at least real aids and increase the toe-in to -0.2/0.2 or more, increase limited slip acceleration lock to 30-40%, limited slip deceleration lock to 30-40% and limited slip preload to 80 or more, you will find it easier to control, though you might be half a second slower in some corners.

Controller settings look good. Will give you fast and direct steering from the DS4.
You could increase brake pressure depending on how confident you are with your brake application.
I personally would run smaller bump stops. Because low life
    Good luck
I can't wait to do some testing and tuning at Le Mans! Less than a week now...

Haven't yet decided on a weapon of choice in the LMP1 class.
I've run a few laps in all 4 (including the Sauber). Not getting anywhere with the R18 and I'm way off the pace in the Sauber, but it's my fav beast!
Rumour is the Marek and RWD setups may be interchangeable...
