Problem with new menu system for Oculus 2.0 Patch

    Hello,

    Q1
Can anyone who has an Oculus tell me if the new black menu box created for the menu in race remains on after you click drive. Basically I can look all around in the car, but the black menu box stays right dead center. Outside of Race I get extreme jaggies too for the menus and also the grid lines are super bad.

Which leads to my next question...

    Q2

Can anyone help me with ideal NVDIA Control panel setting when using a rift or without one please. Below are my system specs.

    Thanks for any help!

    Anwar

I had the same problem with the black box. I deleted the graphicsconfigdx11.xml file from the Project CARS folder in My Documents and the black box cleared on the next launch. Worth trying that first and seeing how you get on .

Also, try turning a few details down ingame if you notice a strange double-image effect, that will be your system struggling to maintain 75fps .

Yes, don't use any. You HAVE to maintain 75FPS, way more important in the latest patch than before. SO don't use any. I had several but I've had to turn them all off. As Cluck pointed out, it needs quite low settings.

Although, CLuck, unless your sig needs updating you are managing higer settings than me! And it should be the other way round

I suspect this is simply because the rift distortion shader tends to get flaky when warping and chromatic-aberation-filtering 1-pixel-wide lines. It's bound to give some slightly odd artefacts. Can't say it bothers me much.
What I would prefer though is the menu to be floated infront of your view, so you can lean in and look more closely at it - the way Elite Dangerous does it. It's a fine start though, and it makes the game at least fully-functional using the Rift now.

I had the same black box problem, thanks for the tip cluck.

Note to Ian and the team, really impressed with the VR support in pCars. Thanks for putting the effort in post-release and before there is any commercial hardware, getting some HUD support and menu navigation is great. Just wandered over to WMD to sign up for pCars2.
