    I have a G29 on PS4 and have a lot of what we used to call "slop" around the center of the wheel. It takes a bit before the wheel engages so going in a straight line requires moving the wheel between each edge of the gap to correct your line. It's not a bunch but enough to be annoying and can be fatal in a race. Does anyone know what settings are responsible for this?

    DRR? There's not much you can do about it. It's built that way.
    Shogun613's latest set on oscarolim is good. Won't give you that oscillation from the deadzone. Well. Not too much. You'll have to hold the wheel.

    You may have a go at the settings in my signature. Feels about right in the center.

    I have been experiencing skipped gears, e.g. going from 2nd to 4th with one press.
    And also hitting the paddle multiple times with no shift.

    On the PC using JOY.cpl, the test lights exhibit conditions that support this action.

    If others have experienced this condition, is there a simple fix.
    Logitech support is slow to respond.
    I had this very recently with some odd behavior that pointed to a software issue rather than hardware such as multiple downshifts or none at all but if I up-shifted several times it would then behave and shift normally.

    I tried a few things such as opening t up and cleaning the microswitch contact with contact cleaner to adjusting the travel of the metal arm of the switch but still no joy. Then I plugged the wheel into the pc, updated the firmware an now its playing ball. So honestly no idea what it was or what fixed it or if it will return.

    I recently built a 2nd Rig, So I can have Head to Head races.
    So I had to re-setup Two G29's Wheels.
    I hope you Don't mind a Link to another Site, Instead of reposting it all here:

    I use a Basic FFB setup, and then the Only Per car Changes I make are the Spindle master.
    it defaults to 26, and for most cars it a bit too strong for my taste.
    So I adjust it down to 20 or 14 range, depending on the car.

    that's the Only Per car Change I make.
    The rest is all Default.

    But You can also use the Other Popular - Per Car adjustments, they all work, with my Basic FFB settings.

    G29 ffb settings

    Controller mode 3 (set this first)
    Advanced: off
    Steering sensitivity 50
    Deadzone 0
    Speed sensitivity 0
    Filtering 0

    Gives linear 1:1 response between your physical wheel and the on-screen as far as I could see. Tweak in car setup the steering ratio to your liking. I use 12-13.5:1.

    These ffb calibration settings are from Shogun613 but I've tweaked a few things for more ffb strength and no clipping.

    Tyre force = 100

    PWM = 0
    Pwm^2 = 0
    WPS = 0

    DRR = 0.17
    Drf = 0.02

    Linkage = 0, 1, 1

    RaG = 1
    Rab = 0.10
    Rac = 0.96

    Scoop knee = 0.54
    Scoop reduction = 0.52

    Soft clip = 0, 1

    Menu spring = 0.3, 1, 1.

    I think this can do with a little further tweaking of RAB+RAC to get the clipping behaviour better.
