Just bough a row-trainer for my wife and myself. A concept 2 E model. Time to get rid of the racing fat. LoL. I even started with jump rope. Such a satisfaction after a day of work sitting on my butt.

Lovely rowing machines. Had my 'D' for a number of years now and it's still going strong (need to get back on it but life is still getting in the way of that).

It's definitely worth taking a few minutes to watch a few of their videos to get the proper rowing technique. You'll get more out of it if you do

EDIT: Back when I was "a little younger" and "much fitter", I used to row for an hour every other day. I'd stick a movie on, turn the volume up, and row. If you're going to row for any length of time then make sure you have something to keep your mind away from the drudgery of the rowing. Music, TV, movies, whatever, it helps maintain the motivation

Thanks. I bought it merely for my wife. She has a progressive disorder. It is important that she keeps herself fit. She has a fysio trainer who guides her so I pick up any tips from her. I had a couple of years ago a 2 year fysio traject myself and rowing was a big part of it.
As you said, just put on some music and get in trance. I do liked it very much. Lovely to leave all the daily shit where it is and just start rowing and not thinking..
Motivation is not an issue for me, never has been. If I want something I start and just do it. No motivation needed as it is there by default.
I’m 52 now and never did any sport beside windsurfing in my younger years. I now have a job behind a desk and sit the whole day. My body does scream for exercise atm.

The only sport i ever did was darts
I did have jobs that offered intensive exercise though...
Scaffolding, steel construction, a DYI shop boss who worked me until my shoulder gave in... I finally found a job that'll last me until my pension though, lots of sports involved... Watching that is

I've had that suggested before. All i can do though is forward the TV itself, there's a shelf underneath the table that prevents me from moving it closer...
