I know what you mean. I still remember the disappointment when back in the day (well, VERY much back in the day) I bought my first RAM extension. Open the case, fit in RAM, close case, done. Nothing more to do. Really disappointing.

Dark Rock Pro, it's the size of a Fridge Freezer but it's very quiet and works really well. Looks cool imo too.
