    Yes it was!

No idea whether I was fast though or just raping some rubber.

Well, you overheated your tyres from what I can tell from the picture. The rubber started to melt and became like a viscous goo that settled again in that rough shape of pulled rubber strands. Also you can see basically some burn marks on the sidewall/edge of the thread there.

You shouldn't have pushed it lap after lap but go about it in an F1 way... 1 lap pushing, 1 lap cooling.

Didn't you feel understeer kick in at some point or that the car wanted to oversteer more depending on the rotational load on the car?

New SimLab chassis up and running. Easy setup. Love the adjustability--cradles me like a glove. Waiting on button boxes, monitor stand, and new bass shakers, then I can clean up the wires and cap off the profile ends.

Yeah I thought about the same. I got some 3 or 4 very grippy laps (what a wonderful balanced car!) then it started to feel a little unsettled, with a little bit of understeer and a little bit of oversteer. Guess I went on for another two laps then before I took a break so ruined the tyres. Doesn´t matter, I usually have to throw them away when they still look good for ageing reasons. So this time I got the best out of it.

    Okay, back to topic.

That´s Ring-weather, there´s nothing you can do about it.

I once stayed in that hotel for a night when I was on a business trip.

I wouldn't wish for my Durex rubber to have graining and burn marks like that. Bad things happen!
