Max temps not dropping might suggest an airflow problem whether that's starving for some cool air or not exhausting enough hot air. Of course it could also just be that Intel toothpaste .
I've been wanting to try an NF-A15 on my Cryorig H5 for a long time, I know it fits the cooler but has to be mounted with the rubber isolation pads at the top/bottom because of the 14x15cm frame so I'm not sure if it would add any additional height to the cooler because there is no clearance to spare as it is in my NZXT S340 Elite.

While I'm here I may as well contribute to the thread. A couple of weeks ago my mate let me know needed his HD 7970 back to throw into his second rig after the 970 he had in it decided to fry itself so I grabbed an Asus RX Vega 56 for a very good price which worked out even better since I was going to buy AssCreed Odyssey anyway. It's a serious step up in performance although I managed to get possibly the worst HBM chips out on the market not even being able to push them up to 810MHz before my screen is dancing in artifacts. You win some you lose some.

Also grabbed a Logitech G Pro tenkeyless keyboard a little while back after spilling a drink on the old faithful Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Stealth. Love the smaller footprint but I've found out I used the numpad a lot more often than I thought I did, the tactile Romer-G switches are not great for typing to be completely honest but they are very nice while gaming which I do more of than just typing. I do wish they offered the choice of the linear Romer-G switches in the G Pro keyboard because those are a lot nicer than the original tactile switches, I actually prefer them to MX Brown switches. An added bonus is I don't have to have an extra program running in the background for the keyboard because I already use Logitech mice.

When i swapped out my Hyper D92 to this Noctua i got massive drops ! I wasn't able to go past 1.28 volts without the 7700k getting close to 90c , but with the single fan Noctua I can get to 1.38 volts and hit 80c at 4.9GHz . I was hoping the second fan may allow 1.42v to get me to 5.0GHz but seeing no change in temps i'm not going to try it until the delid .
I'm pretty sure its not airflow , it's a decent size case with plenty of clear space for flow and a nice 200mm Noctua up front pumping in lots of air , it's just the heat can't get from the die to the IHS because of the crappy TIM ! I'm pretty sure even a massive radiator wouldn't be any better at this point !

No picture available, but I pulled the trigger on a FTTH (Fiber To The Home) internet connection (400/200Mbits). Our village is about to be upgraded if we hit a 40% quota of all households till mid December. Fingers crossed! The actual installation would be summer next year.

Turns out i was dopey and didnt add the extra spacers on the second fan ! I do get temp drops using the second fan now , at 4.9 instead of 80c i now see just over 70c with all same volts and settings . So when i find a little more time im going for the 5.0GHz OC . Not because i will use it for gaming but its just because ..well it's 5Ghz

Jumping in the Ryzen bandwagon! Rebuilt my PC (four-year-old Fractal Define R4 case and Geforce GTX 980 graphics card) with a new 2700X processor, motherboard and Noctua cooling. MASSIVE upgrade from my Core i7-860 system back in 2009/2010, going to be a big boost for playing Project CARS 2.

Decided to upgrade now rather than later because of the US tariff concerns with Chinese goods.

    Phase 2 ...

I found the DDR3-1866 and got the machine up and running, eventually.

Bit of a learning process and a lot of messing around with USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 cable converters to get the Corsair fan controller working at the same time as the PSU fan control. Turns out, some corsair devices don't like being on the same USB controller. FFS!

The DDR3 ram I had leftover is 1.65v. The X79 platform is supposed to use 1.5v. I saw these for £30 and could not resist ... 4x4GB ECC.

At default timings they clearly perform at lot worse than the other kit, but, they are at 1.5 - and they are ECC - which will be important for phase 3
