So I have a helmet now
Back in the 90s at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, they had a guy who made full suits of armour just using the traditional methods. You could visit the workshop and watch him work. I got chatting to him and he let me try on bits of armour he'd made, and I remember putting on a gauntlet made from many segments of steel and it was amazingly comfortable and mobile. The armour was so well designed that they had full mobility, so much that I saw one of the demo 'Knights' do a cartwheel in a full suit of armour.

    All gone now, government cutbacks.

I'm not surprised, their demonstrations are still pretty cool to watch. Even if they are obviously choreographed the level of weapon control is very impressive.

Let's hope they fixed the issue with the pedals falling apart. It was hardly good advertisement that Max Verstappen of all people had that issue amidst an important race.

Although I reckon the issue is the locking nuts that were re-used after adjustments. Basically locking nuts are only used once, because the nylon that locks the nut doesn't have has much holding power if you re-used it. Which decreases every time you reuse and undo the nut.

I didn't hear about that incident with Max, but everyone I know with the pedals are pretty happy with them. Regardless, they're better engineered than the Fanatec V3s, which I've had a number of issues with and am happy to finally be replacing them.

It was quite funny to watch, you never know how installation was done, it would be more of a concern if they where pedals like say CSPv3 or similar that come completely built, those pedals come without a backplate even don't they? There left to the user to fix them down how they see fit. Max probably didn't get his engineer to install them, lol

you can also buy a mounting plate from Heusinkfeld. Ready drilled for many ways to assign.
But people with alu rigs mostly don't need that. So its sold separately.

I went ahead and got the base plate. Just seemed easier.
