Help/Tips for BMW 320 Turbo

Hey guys, took the BMW 320 Turbo Group 5 to Le Mans, and while it seemed to be quicker on the Mulsanne compared to the Zakspeed Capri, I have been struggling quite a bit on corner exit. I have played around with all different kinds of settings and nothing seems to be working. Switching tire compounds helped me on corner entry, and I have gotten some decent grip under braking, but I always seem to lose it on exit, especially slow corners. No matter how much throttle I give it, the rear end always steps out. I know this being a relatively vintage racer will mean the handling is different from current GT cars, but was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or had any tips for how to adjust the setup. Have you tried lowering the accel differential setting? It's been a while since I've used that car but it's a blast to drive when you get it right.

Few things to try:

1) reduce camber on the rear
2) decrease accel. diff %
3) soften rear springs
4) soften rear slow bump dampers

Also, if the car is spinning when the turbo kicks in you can try reducing the waste gate pressure. This will reduce the power of the turbo and decrease your acceleration/speed but IMO a more consistent car is quicker than one that spins out.

Failing that, have you tried short shifting? If you're in 1st/2nd gear, try shifting up at 7-8000 rpm instead of 10k.

I've spent more time on the Capri than the Beemer but from what I remember they have very similar characteristics.

The Zakspeed is massively faster in a straight line. It has more power when the wastegate is maxed. Which you need to do BTW or your exits and top speed will suffer by a lot. Anyway here are massively competitive setups for both (Ford is faster). Just use these as default and what you probably have is rubbish.

Something i thinks help alot with Turbo cars, is the throttle sensitivity. If you put more than 50, you'll gain precision towards full throttle. This will help you modulate the throtle better when the turbo kicks in.

You don't need to put much. I'm only at 54 and it gives great results already.
